Glitter is right- you should totally take your own advice (and you have awesome advice about this stuff) about this! sometimes when it comes to our own issues, we totally forget how to apply everything we know- think of what you would tell a friend if she asked for your advice for this exact same issue, and then follow exactly that- trust me, this works better than it sounds, you just have to really get into the role.

Also from a psychological point of view, (and this is obvious), we tend to get more nervous around people we feel intimidated by, people we think we like more than they like us, and people we like of the opposite sex. So just like you said, you KNOW you can do the moves, it’s just that if it was someone else you didn’t particularly like, you’d be fine! so this is where you need to trick your brain- you can make your brain believe everything that glitter said (and it’s true anyway!) – you are HOT, sexy, confident, and he definately is lucky as hell to be gettin a lapdance from you (and for free too! lol). He’s lucky that you even like him, i don’t care How cute he is. I know it sounds wierd, but you’d be surprised how easily your brain can be affected by your thoughts. That’s why they say, if you pretend to be confident, and act confident, you actually become confident.
If you didn’t care about this guy’s opinion, you’d do great, so tell yourself- you don’t CARE what he thinks! and why should you? you know you’re awesome, and so does everyone that has seen you showing us some moves! Think of under what circumstances you wouldn’t be nervous, and then make yourself believe that those are the actual circumstances.
You’re just in the class to have fun, and doin this final recital to have fun- so think of it as that, and not as a serious performance that you’re being judged or graded on! and like you’ve said , guys are simple (and stupid https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)- they’re so easily pleased by lapdances and wouldn’t even know if you made a mistake- you just keep going as if that was part of the routine.
More of your own advice: before you start, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and when you open them, you’re in a new role- and take your time.
You’re definately gonna be awesome as hell. And i’m also thinking what ducky said- that maybe your instructor volunteered him again because he may have said something to her about it.. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

ok lol, me again. I think you can only import audio tracks that are in your music folder. I know there’s an itunes folder in the music folder, but you can’t import from there. so all you have to do is drag the track you want from itunes into the music folder thing (so that the track shows there without having to open the itunes folder), and then import it from there! If i didn’t explain it clearly let me know! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I got the shoulder mount last night, all thanks to lola! as soon as i could do it with the princess grip, i was immediately able to do it with the standard grip and i get it everytime! so crazy how i went from barely being able to kick off the ground to doing it all the way (i still have to kick though, but practice will make it better). so thanks again lola.
Ducky thanks for the link for the leg style variation, i’ll have to try it after i’ve gotten more comfortable with the basic shoulder mount and more strength! xx https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

i think this happens to everyone- some days we are stronger than others- and i think this may be even more obvious while we are beginners and still developing basic muscle strength.
i find that if i work on the pole for a few days consecutively, i become weak- but when i take a couple days off, the next time i work out i’m even stronger than before and accomplish alot more!
The effects of your workouts on your muscles mostly take place on your days off- they need rest!
Other factors that may affect how strong or weak you feel may include:
    1) mood and level of motivation 2) amount of sleep or quality of sleep 3) where you are in terms of your menstrual cycle 4) what type of nutrition you’ve consumed 5) what time of the day it is (some people may feel tired after a long work day, causing them to have less energy and thus be weaker)

I’m sure there are more, this is all i could think of at the moment https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I’m sure you’re already persuaded about not buying a cheap pole, but here’s a video from youtube of someone who bought one of those poles that shows how useless they really are!

thanx lilmislola- that actually does make sense- that way you won’t fly off since you’re not picking up momentum like you do in the normal way- gonna try it, although i’ll still get neaseus (how the h. do you spell that?? nauseaus neausaus naseaus- nope red line still there lol) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

yeah when it’s in spinning mode you don’t need as much momentum in order to spin, because the pole rotates freely. however, i find it to be much harder to dance with than when it’s on static mode- i get really naseaus and dizzy for one thing, it’s harder for me to control what i do cause i feel like it’s slipping away from me (harder to grip maybe?) , and i cant do certain spins- like reverse grab- cause i feel like i’m going to fly off! so actually for me it feels like more work rather than less https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif i think your best bet is to just keep practicing what you want to get good at, like dancing, regardless of what pole you use- and the more you practice the better you’ll get at it! you’d be amazed at how much you can improve on something if you just stick to it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
