My callouses do hurt sometimes as well, but they tend to be particularly thick (I use a lot of grip aids thanks to having a very sweaty body). It’s usually when I’ve been poling more than normal. I’ll notice it the next morning when I wake up and stretch my fingers out it feels like the skin is being pulled. I’ll gently use a pumice stone on them sometimes when I shower just to help keep so many layers from building up and it does seem to help a little.

I’ve used the roll-on versions of Ban and Certain-Dri on my hands, I also used them before bed and they definitely helped! Different ones have different ingredients, so you can play around with what works best for you. For me Ban worked better, but felt pretty gross, it’s kind of gooey and sticky, while the Certain-Dri just felt like water. Some of the grip aids (like tite grip) have the same main ingredients as some deodorants, so they act pretty similar.

I have the lower level splits DVD and haven’t found it particularly good or useful. Movements aren’t very broken down or explained well. I like the Fit and Bendy one much more.

Also, the grip aids that will help will depend on whether you can’t stick because you’re sweating or slippery from dryness. Prince grip is usually good for sweaty people.

Prince grip is amazing for me, I have to reapply much less often than I do with dry hands. That and liquid grip are my favorites. Everybody’s different with grip aids, but might be worth a shot if others aren’t particularly helpful.
