kind of glad im not rich cuz ive already got about £200,000 worth of surgeries planned and have been since i was at least in my early teens if not younger. Eyelids, laser eye correcting, nose job, chin implant, boob job, liposuction everywhere, bum lift and more lipo, calf implants, veeners, gastric band. Im sure as new stuff is invented so my list will grow. I wish I could be one of those ppl who feels happy and confident as they are but after almost 27 years and still hating everything if I had the chance to change everything tomorrow id jump at the chance. Maybee itll change as I get older, i dunno, but if it makes ppl happy and feel better about themselves then go for it.

After reading this post think im gonna have to spend more time concentrating on the ‘correct’ way of inverting.
When i was doing the classes we were inverting right from the start using the outside leg for momentum and just kicking like your life depends on it.
It works but ive never felt like ive used any more muscles apart from my shoulders and arms. Turns out i’ve been taught wrong from the start, great, 3 months of habit I know have to try and relearn lol.

    Hiya,

Its a chrome finish, nope dont really get sweaty hands although my pole feels slippy a lot of the time so i use water and wipe it off (am getting rubbing alchol delivered int he next couple of days) temp yesterday was warm although the first time it happened it was fairly cool, and only use grip aids (mighty grip) at the very start when the pole is still slippy and when trying inverts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Once the pole has warmed up I dont need to use the mighty grip.

    Hello ladies,

Im 26 years old (although not long to 27). Im 5ft 8" and weigh about 185lbs, i think, i try not to weigh myself as it ruins my whole day if i dont like what it says.

I do poleing as a different way to excercise as the only sport ive ever done before this was kick boxing and while I was ok at it I found I wasnt aggressive enough and i was developing shoulders a rugby player would have been proud of xD Ive also done some running in my army days and used to be fairly fit, used to do 6miles every night in about 50mins, but quit the army and have since got fat and unfit.

I havent lost anything yet but im hoping that will come later as Ill be able to pole for longer and do more moves so itll work me harder, if not then its still fun XD

Hope everyone is ok and having fun, take care x

Sorry to crash on the thread but can i ask advice as its related to the thread.

I recently brought the 50mm chrome x pole and am really struggling to do anything on it. My hand from thumb tip to little finger is only 6.5" and so i am really struggling to hold on.

Im wondering if I would benefit from getting the 45mm pole instead (when I have more money ofc). And would the titanium finish be better for me as we use polished steel in class which i have no problems using but the chrome one i end up flat on my ass without even completing a quarter of a spin on basic spins that give me no problems in class with.

    Thanks again ladies https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Im using the 50mm chrome x pole. Atm i kind o walk around to get momentum an then kind of launch onto it, not a jump as such but i i kind of push of with one leg and use my arms to pull me in. Hard to explain.

I try and get on the pole as much as current bruises, pole burn and muscles aches will allow XD Just done an hour and a half practice and dont feel as though i acheived anything apart from an achin arm.

In class I dont seem to have as much of a problem which increases my frustration that I cant do it at ome. Oh well, i guess im just going to have to wait for my upper body strength to increase so i can try and hold myself on the pole for longer XD

    Thx for the replys https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Yay my X pole is here and assemmbled!!

I should have made a video on how not to do it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif In my excitment when I was eyeing up the pole to see if it was straight i forgot i hadnt put any tension behind it and it tipped over, i just about caught it before it hit my glass table XD Opps
Feels a lot different to the ones I use in class. Dunno if its just that its a couple of mm bigger but seems harder to grip. But all part of the fun https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
