I’m sorry if I am coming across as bitchy or rude…but everyone is different and you can’t truly & totally know what it is like to be in someone elses shoes!
I was glad to hear another side of the debate. Every ones opinion matters and having different opions gives others the opportunity to took at the situation from all sides. -
I’m so excited I can’t sit still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

remember that adorable Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing? After her nose job she was just another pretty girl in LA trying to get a role. And oh man, have any of ya’ll seen pics of Bruce Jenner (Kim Kardashian’s stepdad) lately? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif Freaking sad.
My only concern is there are no guaranties. Jennifer Grey looks like a completely different person. I could never do ANYTHING to my face though. I have thought a lot about this subject and I feel this is the path for me. If there was a way to do it naturally I would. I wouldn’t do it for anyone else either. I would only do it for myself. It’s defiantly got to be about you. Make sure you consider all the non-surgical options as well. -
Since I was 18 I’ve always had C – D cup boobs. I got up to 163 pounds and I’m 5’6". Now that I’ve lost all the weight, my ta tas don’t look the same. Not quite National Geographic, but I’m not happy with the way I look now. I plan to have them either lifted or just do an implant sometime next year.
I’ve also been pretty open about my self inflicted wounds. I carry scars that make me very self-conscious. They have procedures to fix them. Some people may look down on this as well by saying "well you shouldn’t have done that to yourself in the first place". There have been many events in my life that brought me to that extreme. I was only 9 the first time I did it. I feel that chapter of my life is over and I have a constant reminder of each of the moments in my life that I was completely out of control. It can be a reminder of how far I’ve come, but each one has it’s own terrible story of pain behind it. Imagine carrying around with you an open book of your pain for everyone to see. I want to put all those memories behind me and move forward, yet every time I look down there it is. I plan to get them fixed one day as well.
It’s defiantly a personal decision you have to really think through. How long have you been dancing??? If your new to this you might want to give it some time. I lost 30 lbs pole dancing and changing my diet. I don’t have kids though, so I can’t relate in that way. Ultimately, do what makes you happy. -
I understand. I can only imagine how much it takes to get a site like this up and keep it running. The forum sounds like a good idea too. We could post by state.

I actually live in Michigan now. I think I forgot to put that. That was what was so crazy about her finding me. She thought I was in FL, but I lived 30 minutes away from her in Michigan. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Thank you for your comments and personal messages!!! I feel this is an environment where I could share some of my history without judgment. I also posted so you will know some of my struggles & inhibitions regarding pole dancing. We all have to work through our own issues and the response I have received lets me know I’m not alone. I don’t show others that it bothers me, but it is in the back of my mind. I know I will get past this and be stronger because of it.
The class did excellent for their first time on a pole. I look forward to watching their progress as I also enjoy seeing your progress. To know that I will be helping them to learn the thing I am most passionate about brings me a lot of joy. It is so worth it. Again, thank you for your support. -
Thanks Glitter!
I love watching everyone’s videos. Sometimes I have to turn off my computer when I’m at work because I can’t help but watch. Pole dancing has completely consumed me. I had a screwed up life and it amazes me that I’m still here. I have worked through a lot of major issues and pole dancing has given me something to focus all my stress, energy, frustration, anger……………..on. My body is scarred and when I’m dancing I feel pretty again. It is scarey for me to stand in front of people with such little clothing on. I almost feel it is necessary to tell people about my scars before they see them, but most of the time I don’t. I usually don’t talk about it unless it is brought up, but people have to wonder. In the class tonight I thought, do they notice them? They are all self inflicted and obvious they did not occur naturally by an accident or something. That is the only thing that scares me about teaching. When I’m in my apartment or with a few friends I don’t feel too self conscious, but now it’s like…..here it is. I will try to stay positive. It is my only concern. I know this is a great opportunity for me, so I will not let it hold me back. Thanks again for your support!!! I’ll keep you posted. -
Thank you for your comments. My legs are really sore today. The back of my thighs are aching. I was going to take a night off, but when I got home my new thigh high boots were sitting at the front door. I’ve been wanting to do the starfish with them on instead of my stupid sneaker. They stick to the pole like glue. They’re great for the starfish. The only thing I don’t like is the sound they make on the pole. Squeak, squeak, squeak. But I LOVE them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif
Check them out

Awesome!!!!!!!!!! How did you get into it???? I have only kinda tried once and if I remember..it was from a scorpio. I think we should call it the egg beater, because it reminds me of the hand held wire mixers (egg beater) spatchcock always makes me giggle hehe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I know…….spatchcock https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I looked it up and it’s a way you carve a chicken. Also called butterflying. You can even find videos of it on youtube. You pretty much remove the bones and flatten it. After I saw that it kinda made sense.
I can not yet do it from the scorpio. I do a split heel, flip my top hand upside down, then go through the middle of my legs. I’ll post a short video of one so you can see. -
I have a really hard time letting something go. I don’t want to give up for the night without accomplishing something. I do make sure I’m continuing to work on the things I have already learned, but I still want more, more, more. I have a serious addition, but if you’re going to be addicted to something………this was a good choice. Thanks for your support!!!! The positive feedback really drives me to push myself. This community of polers is amazing. Much love to all of you!!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileleft.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileleft.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileleft.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileleft.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileright.gif

It makes me really sad to hear that. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
Dancing is an expression of yourself that comes from the soul. Happy, sad, in love, thankful for your salvation through Christ………… You should not have to apologize for any of that. The dance was beautiful and I didn’t see anything that could be taken as inappropriate. You need to keep rockin the pole and dance to anything that moves you. No ones opinion counts except yours. You know where you stand with Christ and MANY people in the bible danced to give praise to him. This is just a different style of dance. I think he is proud of you and the beautiful way you express your love for him.I am posting this on the videos comments as well. I want others that are not in the forum to hear my opinion on the matter.
