I have read great things about the SV pole, it is a pity you no longer offer it. I am renting so I cannot really invest on a permanent pole right now. In effect, the “lego” capabilities of the x-pole are very attractive right now, but I would really love the easiness of getting the pole up and down of the little mynx. Thank you again!

I used the link too – thanks Sair.

I absolutely loved the video too! The dance, the editing, the costumes, the looks… it all worked perfectly with the music and created a great atmosphere. Congrats.

I have been using cups for over 4 years. Moon cup – a UK brand. I love them and have given them as gifts to quite a few friends.
When I bought mine I read loads of reviews on sites selling them etc and I thought they were quite accurate. I assume most questions you might think about will be answered in the sites.

@ miss kitty83 and lizzy7410 — I also know how hard it is to find nice bras for a small band and big cup size!
I am a 30E and am in agreement with miss kitty. Even when I was told I was "too thin" I was still heavy chested and had a really hard time to get stuff that would fit…

MemberMay 8, 2011 at 1:17 pm in reply to: anyone else have recurring yeast infections? my lady business is a jerk!!!!You and your bf need to get treated together, otherwise he will keep reinfecting you. In the meantime, condoms should probably be used. Boys often times transmit stuff to us and do not develop symptoms as our insides are very welcoming for bacteria to grow happily… so yes, pee after sex and wash your lady business well.
Also, less sugar and processed foods (they are loved by the bacteria) and lots and vitamin C and liquids are supposed to help.
Good luck and do tell your doctor everything! he will probably say your boy needs to see a doctor as well or at least take the medicines he prescribes you.

Thanks for the link and the reviews! I am going to watch the videos!

I also feel weak during my period, sometimes I feel exhausted actually, and I think it also has to do with the fact that I am anemic and have been a vegetarian for a very long time… I avoid exercises on my 1st and 2nd days of the period, or just exercise lightly and I do not invert.
When I did yoga, instructors would always say "don't do this if you are menstruating" or show variations of moves, so I think yoga has a tradition of respecting women's cycles in this respect. I have never heard people saying not to invert when poling if menstruating, but I applied the same logic in this respect. In any case, I think our bodies respond to food, exercise, period, stress (well, everything) differently so we need to listen to our bodies and respect our limits.

I have had those too. I started getting them when I was a child but they have gotten better and there were differences in how they manifested — supper strong headaches or migraines. I have had to learn to deal with them and I get them a lot less frequently nowadays.
Some things that have helped me: seeing an eye doctor – I needed glasses, and that alone helped. I also discovered some of them were food related, so heavy stuff like cream and chocolate can be damaging to me if I have loads of them or every day… I also was prescribed some migraine drugs, but you have to take them when you feel they a migraine is coming, otherwise they do not work so well. I am also very sensitive to smells and am allergic to some of the,, strong perfumes can trigger horrible headaches, so I have learned to stay away from people who wear scents that don't go well with me and I avoid the perfume corners in duty free shops etc. I used to have them connected to my menstrual cycle when I was younger, but luckily they stopped.
Some herbal teas and essencial oils help too. I am particularly fond of mint and one called "boldo" that I have never seen in the northern hemisphere.
Try to see the patterns in your headaches, they will probably help you physician in diagnosing possible triggers.
Good luck!

Don't be so hard on yourself, though, I myself am very impressed about how you are progressing! A few threads ago you were struggling with the aysha, now you hold a beautiful straight edge confidently and you have managed the cartwheel mount – even if it was during one practice… You are rocking it! Keep working and you will soon be doing it perfectly! Good luck.

I guess it depends a lot on what you want to develop as a complement to your pole work. I think most of them would be fantastic additions to any training – I guess gymnastics would do wonders for tricks, but it would not be my thing, so I would be more inclined to do dances, for example.
I don't know exactly what they call "Brazilian" but if it is carnival like "Bahia" carnival/ samba reggae type of thing, I think it might be a lot of fun, but probably a bit too high energy for pole… it is probably a great workout and good for shaking and moving and learning how to move in a different way, but probably less "polished" than the other forms of dance listed. Again, I think it could be great but I see it as being more distant to pole and more like great cardio and lower body exercise and less flexibility focused.
For flexibility and ballance I'd probably go for ballet, modern dance or gymnastics and gymnastics would be probably the best for strength and tricks. I have never seen a 6ft tall gymnast, though – gymnasts are often quite short…
Good luck!

I am with https://www.studioveena.com/users/view/bc92cfd4-d89d-11df-ab19-12313b090e12! Also agree with HollySatine as Felix comes to mind as someone who does a lot of "tricks" but dances through all of them so what one watches is, using StellarMotion terms, aerial dancing.

MemberMarch 17, 2011 at 10:38 am in reply to: Difficulty with a move I don’t know the name of…ha ha@ Empyrean: I tried a PC as well and could not play the video either. I got the exact same java plug in problem that my mac had showed (which is the same as amy's).
I tried to check the Java preferences in my computer, then, to see if I could change the settings somehow, but it did not seem to be a matter of an update on my side and I did not really know what to do in the end… Hope you find a better help!
