When does ATX have their open pole? I’ve never seen it on their schedule. I’ve been wanting to try them out.

Next pole jams are March 1 and 15th. I plan to be at both so give me a heads up if you are able to come and I’ll introduce you around.

Inner diva has two types of students: members and punch card students. You don’t have to be a member to attend pole jam because punch card students attend all the time. But you used to be able to pay $10 for pole jam instead of using a class on your punch card. Depending on how much you bought your punch card for this might save you some money. Lately punch cards have been running $99 for 10 classes so it comes out about the same. Call or email them. Either way they will probably remember you when you come in. The only requirement for pole jam is that you have some experience with pole. They don’t want brand new never taken a class ever girls in there without at least 1 starter class.

Domain area is north Austin. The only pole jam that occurs on a regular schedule is at Inner Diva every other Sat at 12. They used to charge $10 if you weren’t a member but I’d have to ask to see if it’s still the same. They will also set up an open pole time for you for $15 as long as classes are not in session. The difference is pole jam has an instuctor and open pole does not. The only other option would be Sky Candy. They often have open studio time for 2-3 hours. They charge $15 to attend but given the time allowed that’s not bad. Only thing is I don’t know if their pole is part of that or if it’s just their aerial equipment.(lyras, trapeze, silks)
If you are looking to make connections with people I would recommend Inner Diva. I’ve beem going there for over 2 years. The students are super friendly, particularly the girls that attend pole jam, there is always an instructor present during pole jam who can and does answer questions about tricks. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Oops I forgot we also have a flying trapeze school in the south Austin area. You are moving to the land of plenty. Hope you are made of money. 🙂

I live in the Cedar Park area which is a burb northwest of Austin. We have five major pole studios in the Austin area. They are Vamps, Brass Ovaries, Inner Diva, Sky Candy and ATX Pole. We also have four aerial arts studios. They are Brass Ovaries, Four Elements Yoga and Fitness, Sky Candy and Blue Lapis Light. If you live in north Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park or Plugerville then ATX Pole, Inner Diva and Brass Ovaries North studio are your best bets.
If you live in south Austin then Sky Candy, Brass Ovaries South, Vamps, Four Elements Yoga are better for you. You can try commuting across town but I don’t recommend it except for weekends. From my work in north Austin to a class at Brass Ovaries during rush hour took an hour and a half just to get to the studio. On a weekend it’s much better more like 45 mins.
I do have to say that all the studios are pretty friendly with each other. Last year the studios worked together to have an open pole jam that was hosted each month by a different studio. Each studio offers something a little different to set themselves apart from the others. We are blessed with a large, friendly, and supportive pole community here. Glad you are joining us. Hope to see you in a class soon.

Thank you for the input about lil minx cutting it to a certain size but I have my heart set on the Studioveena pole.
Webby-All the areas I will be using it in are 9 ft. If I get it specially cut and the measurement is wrong (too long or too short) will the pole still work? Or will I have to get a new one? I am not confident about measuring to an exact amount as I have carpet and don’t know how much it will give under the weight of a pole. My understanding is that I can adjust the 9 to 10 ft somewhat to fit my needs. Is this true?

I would love to order a StudioVeena pole. My ceilings are 9 feet. Should I get the 8-9 foot pole or the 9-10 foot pole?

"Eventually, I just decided that whether the majority or minority agrees with me on my views involving relationship issues does not really matter. In the end, it is really only about the people in the relationship working through their  issues (big or small) with respect and consideration for the feelings and beliefs of their partner. This is exactly what my hubs and I did in this case."

This right here is awesome! Good for you, AriFerrari.

@Joel Lessing- Maybe I am reading this wrong but when you said to remind your man why he married you and not the club girl aren't you implying that we married for sex? So the only reason he is with me and not the other girl is I will have sex with him? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Chem- Thank you. I knew someone here would know when they stopped selling the top loaders. So yeah my hunch was right this ones a fake.
I totally agree I wouldn’t sell my pole just cause I’m pregnant. Thank you everyone for taking the time to look at this for me. I’m going to keep saving money and by August I should have enough to get an xpole from veena.

Chem- To clarify that would explain why she is asking for $260. The xsport plus extension=$260. Not why she claims it cost her $500. Sorry for the confusion should have stated that more clearly.

Thanks pole gal. I went through the older threads trying to find out that date too. I know the bottom loaders have been out for a while and I’m pretty sure that 45’s were not popular until after the bottom loaders started selling However, I wanted to confirm my suspicions with people here.

I figured to paid amount was bumped up to make it look like a good deal. My confusion came in when I noticed the stock photo was a sport but she says the pole is an xpert. If it is a 45 sport that would explain the price which is a sport plus the 300 mm extension. If it is an 45 xpert then how in the blazes is it top loading? Did she put it up wrong? 🙂
Thank you to both of you for your replies. I was going to offer a lower price for it (220-240) if I could confirm that it was a real 45 xpert. Used 45’s are not easy to come by in my area as most girls are selling their 50’s for 45’s.
