Hey there. I’m not sure about whether you can make an xpole in this way https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif but i remember reading this post a week or so back and think you might find it of interest. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
https://www.studioveena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2270" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Its a guide on how to make your own pole, well you’ll see. I’m still trying to persuade my boyf to build me one in our spare room, but he’s not sure whether to as we have those plasterboard ceilings. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
I saw that post the other day… I might try that https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I just want a 1.75 diameter instead of a 1.5 though.
Empyrean…. I like that website you posted! MUCHHHH cheaper… and I wanted a brass pole anyway, it’s perfect!

I was a gymnast for 15 years and I know exactly what you’re talking about with being scared. Honestly, if you’re too scared to do it either you need to try to overcome the fear or gymnastics just isn’t for you. The last couple of years I competed I just developed this horrible fear of pretty much everything. When I was 13, I broke both bones in my right forearm, had 4 surgeries, and was out for 2 years. When I returned I just was so scared to try new things fearing that I would fall again… I started having anxiety attacks before competitions and finally I was just like you know, I can’t do this anymore… I’m not excelling, and I’m not enjoying myself. Sadly I had to quit…. I wish I could have found some way to overcome those fears but nothing seemed to work.
I agree with what some of the other girls have said… you need a better coach. Gymnastics is really heard to get the hang of when you’re an adult and you really need someone who is patient and dedicated to helping you with it.

Wendy was a stripper at one point and many (if not most) of the contestants so far have worked in clubs as well.
It’s also important to realize they might not be looking at the same things we do. Tricks are great but if you don’t have flow, you won’t be the most interesting person to watch onstage. They are trying to find a lineup of girls with skills and artistry AND different styles to keep it interesting.
Just my thoughts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Fleur
I agree Fleur…. it takes artistry and flow of the routine… which takes a lot of practice and I know that a lot of successful pole dancers have a background in dance or gymnastics, and if not, it can take some time to gain that natural flow and gracefulness (pointed toes… legs straight…) Strippers can do fun tricks but some are just not up to the artistry level.

I’ve been talking to Winter about going and practicing at that strip club with her before it opens… hopefully they will let me! It’s a 25 foot pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
