I havent take it yet but i plan to next year, i’ve heard good things about the program though.
I would like to get certified through xpole mostly for my own in depth knowledge of everything pole but also to explore the possibility of teaching here & there/host pole parties for fun as well.
If you sign up let me know how it goes!

For class or practice at home, i use my less expensive funtasma platforms. When i want to perform, dress up or show off, i wear my more expensive pleasers.
I really like the funtasmas though, i’ve had my black pair (that i wear for class & when i practice at home) for almost 3 years & they are just coming to the point of needing to be replaced now.
The pleasers are sooo pretty but expensive, so the 2 pair i have, i rarely wear them because i dont want to wreck them prematurely.

Will you be renting a car or have access to a car? There really aren't that many shops on the strip that sell that kind of stuff. All the stores that the local strippers shop at are off the strip primarily.
Here are a couple of places that I shop at when in Vegas, for shoes and exotic dance wear 🙂
Red shoes 4011 West Sahara Ave
Two lips shoes 3663 Las Vegas Blvd
Deja Vu love boutique 3247 Industrial Road

Now I am back to preferring to dance barefoot lol. In fact, I just realized that I haven't practiced poling in my platform heels in a couple of months! Yikes!
I definitely think that dancing in platform heels adds to the sexiness of a pole performance though, the two just "go" together beautifully. And I feel and dance differently when I wear platform heels, I become a different person, a vixen if you will 🙂 It's an amazingly sexy & liberating feeling.

MemberAugust 25, 2012 at 11:50 pm in reply to: Telling my Adult Kids that I am Learning PoleI have a 20 year old son. I started pole a little bit before he moved out of the home…he thought it was "gross" at first but once he realized I was serious about it and that I wasn't learning to pole to become a stripper or anything like that he was fine with it. I dont talk about it all the time when I talk to him or anything. But when he comes to visit, my pole is a regular fixture in our living room, so it doesn't phase him now…he even jumps on it now and then and goes for a spin if the mood strikes him. He can't believe how much strength it takes–it looks easier than it is and that always shocks him everytime.
My younger brother is 21 years old and he is a little squemish about my poling still but he gets that I do it for fitness and for the most part respects that, but he is VERY conservative and protective of women in general– for example he wont go to Hooters anymore, he thinks it puts women in a bad light.
Boys (and most men) definitely have a different mindset about it, but eventually I've found they come around. 🙂
Glad telling him went well 🙂

MemberAugust 23, 2012 at 2:19 pm in reply to: I feel like I got punched in the stomach…I usually am sore 2-3 days after a really intense workout. Or especially if i’m lazy dont pole at all during the week at home & then go to pole class..boy am i REALLY sore then.
What helps me be less sore is a combination of things like stretching after an intense workout, using my infrared massager, epsom bath b4 bed, drinking coconut juice or water after working out.

Weve ALL been there. Dont be so hard on yourself & def dont give up! With time, patience & practice the strength will come. Best thing to do is video yourself its the best way to see how you progress from week to week. Veenas strength exercises are really great too & help tons.

Wanted to add that i cant use any shampoos or body products w/sulfur in the ingredients if i do, im guaranteed a flare up, so pay attention to that. And watch out for certain detergents…like i cant use Tide…like EVER.

I’ve had eczema all my life, so can sympathize. It really is alot of trial & error to find what works best for you but neutagena soaps, lotions & shampoos have worked the best for me to keep the flare ups to a minimum. Also aveenos eczema products work well for me too. As someone mentioned i’ve found that certain foods cause my eczema to flare up as well but it took me years to figure this out lol

I’m very interested in taking up lyra & silks in 2013. What about lyra/hoop how is that comparatible to poling? Do lyra/hoop & pole complement each other better than silks & pole?

Let the obsession begin! 🙂

Heres how to avoid a hangover after a night of drinking. Either will work but #2 rehydrates better & more efficently:
1. Kids Pedialyte (grape is best & drink it really cold because it tastes gross warm) drink right before bed 12-16 oz or more–as much as you can stomache…the more you drink the better off youll beOR
2. Coconut juice or coconut water. Cold is best. Coconut water is the best out of the two. I keep cans of this on hand always. Drink 1 large can before bed. *When i go to vegas my first stop is always the store to stock up on coconut water!*
Coconut water or juice is also GREAT after working out, your muscles will be less sore the day after…

Mabelline stiletto mascara…I even got my mother in law & sister in law hooked on it. It makes your natural eyelashes look amazing & gives great length to your lashes.
Bare minerals foundations are GREAT makes your skin look flawless but doesnt “look” like youre wearing make up, it looks natural.
