Just start working on a routine now & just spend the next few weeks (or months if the next comp isn’t for awhile) perfecting & practicing it until it becomes 2nd nature. You’ve got this! 🙂

Aloe Vera fresh from the plant or in a bottle is fine too. Also dermablast

Yep I am more sweaty the few days before my period & during it, I get bad night sweats. I always know when “it’s” coming when the night sweats start up.

Ohhh I haven't done a challenge in ages. This sounds fun! I'm going to drum up something. I already have a song in mind 😉

I have a huge issue with my belly as well…I have been trying for a flat belly for years but after 3 kids & genetics (majority of the women in my fam are slim but hold weight in their bellies) & a belly that bloats when I eat anything it seems lol I’ve given up on flat & will settle for a couple inches smaller than it is now & toned. So I’m still working on mine.
I agree with the others, your calorie intake is not enough. Cardio is also great to help tone up the belly area. Try adding Zumba, kick boxing, running, running/walking on treadmill in intervals and/or Hula hoop a few days a week to your weekly workouts.

MemberAugust 29, 2013 at 4:07 pm in reply to: is there customer service on Pole Expo?I had to cancel my trip as well to expo 🙁 most expos don’t do refunds though as I understand it. Also pole expo had a refund cut off date of Aug 5, so if she gave you a refund after that date consider yourself lucky. I got my workshops refunded as well but as I understand it, there are no refunds on the expo badges. Maybe she would have done it before the Aug 5 date but since that date has already past maybe that’s why she didn’t refund the badge $$$. I don’t know for sure if this is the case but that would be my speculation…

Definitely give Veena’s lessons a try. They are the best lessons online. And the girls in the SV community are a great help & support system. I also second what Chem said about Skyping & group jams with other Veeners as being great way to get motivation & feedback as well.

I know the wait sucks & is nerve wracking, so hang in there! However, Strip Clubs are constantly hiring, they never stop at a quota or specific # of girls, so don’t take the ad as meaning anything other than that at this point.
Give it another week, then call back & try to speak with a manager/gentleman who auditioned you if you can. Persistence is key 😉
Just as a precaution though, make sure you have a couple of other job options in the works, in case this doesn’t work out, better to be prepared jic.

That should be where you should go & what you can do…not who you can do lol

Oh no this is just so wrong. Did you sign a waiver/student contract that said that you can’t attend classes at other studios? Even if you did unknowingly, this is just wrong. No one has a right to do this. And to me, this is definitely harassment/bullying.
I would leave that studio & just do workshops & home pole, no one should tell you who & what you can do. That is your choice. Veena’s lessons are excellent & you can set up Skype pole jams with other veeneers or join the Flexines on Tues, Thurs & Sundays for morale, stretching, pole practice & motivation. We’re all here for you. Message me anytime if you need to vent.

And you can definitely jam with the flexines! All level pole levels are welcome. You can join & stretch &/or work on moves you have been working on & everyone helps, encourages & motivates each other. Think about it. 🙂

Flexines does group video chat every Tues,Thurs & Sunday! I have progressed quite a bit since joining the Flexines weekly to practice. We all stretch together, then pole together. Search for & like Flexines on Facebook, the times are posted there. Message Flexines for the log in info & password.
Also, many of us Skype with one another too, feel free to approach any of us on SV for a Skype jam, we don’t bite promise!
