I don't let articles like that sway my judgment. I think its the best. I've been doing it for 2 years and that is the longest that I have done any "workout trend". Its not for everyone, but its definitely for me. I have a compression pad and it has never come loos clearly the person who did this article installed it incorretly and instead of just admitting it they are saying that pole dancing is bad. I love my pole, so I will continue.

It took 2 months of a llot of stretching before I got my left side split. It looks like an extra month for my right and my middle splits is still a work in progress.

I think I'm going to have 2. I'm still thinking about it, but I think want to get a nice King Pigeon and I want to get my Allegra. There are certain moves that I can do on the pole that are difficult because certain areas are more flexi then other parts of my body and I think I can get this one if I really work on it.

Finally found my USB cord. I did this quick because my friend (who lives in my living room) was coming back from a friend's party, so this was my chance to get the picture. I live in a small apartment so I have a tiny little tree. I had my camera on a tripod and had to set the timer. The camera went off before I was fully down in the split, but that's ok.

I have my picture all set to go and I can't find my USB cord! Aaaaah! As soon as I find it or purchase I new one I'll get it up.

You might be able to do your over split which may get you down the rest of the way. Just be gentle with yourself. Make sure your super warmed up.

Firebird I think that the husband brought it up in hopes that maybe it would spark intrest in his wife and instead it blew up in his face, lol. You know its not your issue what her husband is fantisizing about. If it has nothing to do with her then there is something wrong withtheir relationship. If he decided to say, "Oh I had this great dream about Charlize Theron " is this woman going to tweet Charlize and tell her not be so sexy in her films? It reminds me of a friend ( I dated like 5 years ago) that found out that I was doing it and he was asking me questions (legit questions not pervy questions) about it by text, his wife found out and was calling me nasty and a whore and all sorts of names including homewrecker to make her feel like she had a right to because of her new last name. I told her, "They are just questions, its not my profession and honey to be a whore I have to have sex with your husband." I told her, "I have not touched that man for 5 years when you were not even in the picture because Oh that's right he caught YOU CHEATING. I told her if he is still fantisizing about someone from 5 years ago then you never had a marriage to begin with, don't take your intamicy issues out on me" . Women lash out when we feel threatened and I think that their husbands at least some of them get a kick out of watching them act liek that. What we do is eunique and fun and the ones that were taught to be ashamed of their bodies will always be on their soap box. They don't understand that you con't have to take your clothes off to give a good show because you do it it doesn't mean you are a slut and sleep with any man that will have you. These professional for the most part keep their clothes on and I do not have time for these catty insecure women that live to look down at their nose at people and for the women that like to use the bible as a weapon they themselves are in violation of the 9th commandment so they need to back it up and get off your junk. We do have amazing butts because of what we do. I do not ever want to get one of those saggy mom butts.
KenzieCaliente is right this is the time to teach tolerance of others and what they choose to do in and with their life, just because we may not be into it doesn't make it any of our business unless its causing damage and harm to others. I wear my pole gear proudly and I don't care what anyone says. I'm happy I'm fit, and I'm free. No has the right to make you feel ashamed or even judge you. You can either give in to their comments or you can educate when you can. Yiu can't educate them all, but you can hope that they gain some understanding. Then of course there are the ones that are set in their ways so why try. lol

There are so many uneducated people out ther ein the world that think that all pole dancing is the same. I wouldn't call him a name I would be the bigger person and just pitty his narrow minded views. Calling him a name will start a whole new childish war. I don't tell anyone what I do because people are misinformed and fear what they don't understand. So I haven't had that issue. I would also block that dude so you don't have to see his commets. Or maybe you could send him a link of well know dancers so he can see that clothes stay on and its all on ability, artistic technique, and strength. Instead of the red light district type, which I don't see an issue in as long as your grown, but its not a thing I'm in to. Any who he seems like he is just a biggit and needs someone to "school" him on the difference. Let it roll off your back. I have realized that people love to hate people for just about anything.

well I guess I'll give this a go too. it will be better for my friend who is living in my living room. When she move sout then I'll try the vinegar solution th at I rad about on another forum.

I have used the gloves because I have a chrome pole and I'm always slipping. It work s pretty well, but then I have to take them off because my hands get sweaty in the gloves even when I use powder before I put my hands in.
