HaHa TropicalVertical ! When i was a child, I was closing music boxes with a ballerina very slowly and looking through the hole as long as i could to see where the ballerina was going… This is actually how I got the idea. Then a friend was talking to me about Pinnoccio and my dad’s workshop (this is my dad’s workshop, he is carpenter and do some wood carving) and I thought it would be the perfect place to shoot my video.
Strange Fox, we only had one afternoon on the 24th of december last year to shoot the video as my dad wasn’t working that day and both my sister and I were at my parents’s.
Editing was very long on the contrary because my laptop is slowly dying. It’s overheating very quickly so I lost a lot of my work and had to do everything all over again (then I was so afraid I saved my work every minute like a freak !!!) and I was only doing this during my free time.I am a bit sad now that it is over, it was quite an adventure ! I have to find something else now !

It feels like my legs are bent but when I look in the mirror they are straight and normal, so I force myself not to hyper extend and I can go deeper in the stretch especially with things like pikes or toes touching !

There are a tons of possibilities for people who suffer from coeliac disease using other flours (chickpeas flour, coconut flour, quinoa flour, corn flour,… and corn starch or arrow root to replace tapioca). -
Wow PolarGirl, that is super interesting ! Thank you 🙂
And, that would also explain why it’s easier for me to invert with my right leg straight instead of my left. My right hip flexor (which is also the side I have my full split) must be stronger than my left hip flexor.
Stilleto Jeau, curious to see that invert as well, let us know when you post your video 🙂

tblue, I see exactly what you mean, I will give that a try, thank you !
Veena, I soooo need to subscribe to get all those new super cool lessons !

I work just like Phoenix Hunter 🙂
I do a 15 minute warm-up ending on a freestyle doing some spins and dancing moves.
I pick 3-4 tricks or combos I want to work on and try them about 3-4 times.
If there is one I succeed, I try it 2 more times so that i’m sure it’s not luck !
Then, I work on things I succeeded during my last training and need to be perfected, trying to find a nice combo, entry, exit, etc.
Then I stretch a little bit and end my training using my foam roller.I don’t train on tricks or combo everytime.
Some days, I will just dance around, working my flow, foorwork or focus on gaining strength. -
Thank you all for your answers 🙂
So it took me some time but I came up with my very own flexy traning mixing part of Cleo, Felix and Alethea’s dvds all together. I hope I’ll see some results !
I live in France so I wasn’t able to find anything about ART in here 🙁

It seems to me that you’ve pulled your hamstring (I pulled mine 5 months ago while doing a split drop and it was the same pain you describe).
Put some ice on your hamstring, take ibuprofen and keep your leg elevated as much as you can right now. This is very important to minimize damages (bruise, swelling, etc.).
Good luck ! -

MemberAugust 10, 2014 at 3:06 am in reply to: Yet another rotator cuff/tendonitis/overtraining threadI would rest for a week or two because your body needs it.
IMO, it is better to heal and maybe lose a little strength (but honestly, resting for one or two weeks is ok, I don’t think you will lose anything at all) and come back fresh and healthy rather than keep practising and be in pain for a lot longer because your body cannot heal properly.
You can use Helichrysum italicum essential oil, it is very good for tendonitis.
I heard green clay cataplasm are good as well but I haven’t tried that one. -

Outch !
I broke my right wrist in 3 when I was young.
I was supposed to get a permanent metal plate as well but the surgeon decided it was not necessary because I was young and I would heal well and… he was right ! I am ok 🙂I had a plaster cast for 3 months then I had a sort of elastic wrap for several weeks.
It was good support for my wrist.
I went to a kinesitherapist to rebuilt my strength and muscles because when they took off my plaster cast, my arm was soooo skinny.
It is very important to see someone to help you regain your mobility and muscles !Today, I am very careful with that wrist.
I know that I cannot repeat some things too many times (for example, few months ago, I redecorated my living room and taking off wallpaper was really painful for that wrist).
Regarding pole dancing, when I am tired, that wrist can be painful and when I started, I could felt it was very fragile so I practice with a wrap like that one : http://www.nutritionwarehouse.com.au/images/P/WristWrapThumbLoopStart.jpg
And I still wear it when I work one something new that requiere strong wrists.
I also use this to gain strength in my wrist and forearm : http://www.changersoncorps.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/71cIyRGWKaL._AA1500_.jpg

I am really sore everytime I pay a visit to my chiro.
It usually lasts about 2-3 days before I start feeling better.
Rest as much as you can and drink a lot of water ! -

There is “Ecole de Pole”, Justine McLucas’school.
They have 2 schools, one in Camden Town and the other one near London Bridge.
Never been there but everyone I know who went there told me it was good 🙂I know there is Pole People school as well and they have plenty of studios all around London (covent garden, shoreditch, portobello, etc.).

Alright !
Thank you Tropical Pole and Veena.
I don’t have any trouble with my straddle elbow stands up, I can even do them without the pole behind me so I think it’s really not a problem with my core but I will work on that as well, I hope I’ll wee some improvements !
