well it’s stuck in spinny because i cant tighten it all the way for it to be in static due to one of them being completely stripped… so i just keep them out because i almost wasnt able to get the stripped one out… the alen wrench just kept spinning in circles, i’m lucky i was able to get it out lol
-
sorry I’m no help on the trick, but am very curious what it is and what it looks like… do you have a video link or anything showing what it’s supposed to look like?

well i feel kinda silly lol i figured out the problem… the little peice that holds the protective cover up with the two little notches, was simply on upside down… it fell off the top when i pulled it out of my case and i didnt realize it had to be on a certain way…
but now its stuck in spinny because when i put it in spinny to test it… one of the screws that keep it in spinny or static is completely stripped and i had a hell of a time even getting it out to test the spinny…
does anybody know where to get them? do i have to call x-pole? or is there a place i can order them?

I just got back into exercising fully… I do chaLEAN extreme, I did it before but i just started it up again. this time around though i’m gonna alternate between chalean and insanity… I’ll do week 1 of chalean then week 1 insanity, week 2 chalean, week 2 insanity… you get the picture. so my weeks look like this
CHALEAN WEEK
1. heavy weight circuit, 15 min or so of pole since my body and the room is very warm and excellent condition for poling lol
2. rest, by rest i mean some yoga and ab work, or nothing at all
3. another weight circuit, then 15 min or so of pole
4. cardio, light weights endurance, abs… then some pole
5. another weight circuit, pole
6. shorter/more intense cardio then yoga
7. rest day, but i usually do a long pole session so i can see how the weights and stuff have improved my poling lolINSANITY WEEK
1. Very hard cardio
2. more ridiculously hard cardio
3. Cardio cardio cardio
4. am i dead yet cardio
5. i dont wanna… cardio
6. ….
7. rest day?? no.. more cardiook theres a rest day thrown in there somewhere i just dont know where its at off the top of my head… then throw pole in there somewhere just not as much on this week because insanity is hard as crap and leaves my limbs like noodles lol.
but there’s the jist of it sorry this post was long hehe

for me sometimes the harder i work out the hungrier i get!! i’m really bad about carbo loading, so i’m sure if you stick to more proteins, you’ll get leaner!
omg me too!!! when i have weight circuit days i feel like a boy in puberty i just cant feed myself enough lol

I haven’t really lost pounds but I have dropped like 2 pant sizes.
I don’t own scales – they are bad for your health in my opinion as you get obsessed with your weight!).i couldnt agree more with this statement right here… i’m a tall girl i’m 5’10” 5’11” so i’ll never every weigh what i’d like to see lol especially putting on more muscle so i look at my progress pictures (which i posted in my latest blog http://www.studioveena.com/blogs/entry/progress-2-months-into-my-workout-program-D )
i’ve lost maybe 5lbs in the past 2 months but i can clearly see a change which i love!! -
pole was my gateway to a better lifestyle… its changed my life (on top of becoming a mom in 09 lol ) I used to be the laziest, most unmotivated person i knew, but when i got my pole in july (my 22nd bday present for myself) i’ve become a fitness finatic haha
I eat healthy now and my body has adjusted and if I try to eat a chip or anything thats really not good for you i wanna gag lol I also end of oct early nov added strength training to help with poling. I do chaLEAN extreme, its a program like p90x i’m almost done with the second phase and i love it. my strength has improved dramatically i can see oblique lines in my tummy now and moves on my pole become easier and easier. before my flexability was nothing like it was a struggle to reach past my knees standing bending over hahah and a pushup??? hahah must be joking! now i can reach the floor with my tip toes (huge for me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif ) and can do 12 on your toe real pushups lol which is again HUGE for me the pole has giving me a whole new perspective on life!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -
i have an idea, i dont know if its been mentioned before (didnt read through all the pages) but i know it sure would be a challenge for me lol
but to do a routine using your "bad" side, pull people from their comfort zone and get them using more full pole-tential (cheesy beyond belief i know lol ) then maybe add some time of music theme or something on top of it or just give people free range iono lolkk bedtime https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Great job girl! I can’t believe that reverse grab after only 3 practices… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
oh not 3 practices to do it like 3 days of practice as in having my pole 3 days i thought the reverse grab is such a beautiful move and kinda obsessed over learning it lol but its not like i got it like that my 3rd try lol my first try i flew off the pole (sweaty hands) and landed on my butt sittin there like… ok what just happened lolthank you though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif i cant wait to have more control of the speed in spinny mode i’m still tryin to learn that lol

It takes a while but you will learn the right amount of hand-grip for you. I know I was holding on way too tight my first few days so my hands burned and burned. You really don’t have to hold on for dear life but it feels like you have to the first few times. Whether you like it or not you are going to get rough hands with pole dancing. I’m rather proud of my calluses. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
You will quickly learn about new muscles in your body and feel sore in places you never knew existed. Do NOT live by the motto "No pain, no gain" because that is old-fashioned and just plain silly. The only time I can see how the motto makes sense is when your skin pinches and burns on the pole because you can’t help that a 100%. The motto does NOT work for muscle pain or when you over-stretch yourself because you’ll just end up in physical therapy or something and that is not gain. If you are sore just take a day off because your muscles deserve it. The best thing about taking a break is that the day after you will be so strong and you’ll be surprised how much better or longer you can do a move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Oh and in one of the Friday night chats one of our more advanced ladies said she only pole dances a few times a week because it her joints hurt. So if she takes time off so should everyone.
Having said all that… The Twisted Grip on your first day??!!?!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif I’d be careful… that is a pretty advanced move and you don’t want to hurt yourself.
i’m sorry i said the wrong thing… reverse grab lol not twisted grip i’m so sorry for the confusion :S

thank you ladies so much for the advice… i’m brand new to poling and well… pretty brand new to working out on a regular basis so i really had no idea lol i knew i’d get calluses but just wasnt sure if giving them a little time or keep going would make them used to the pole faster.
now that i know i should go slower i’ll just focus on baby steps on getting my muscles stronger. i think i just got over excited and just wanted to try out everything lol like last night i learned how to hand upside down with no hands (with cushions of course) so yeah i’ll be taking it slower now the only things that are sore are my shoulders (the top, not the shoulder blade area) and my arms just cuz they’re so weak but its not a painful burn or pain in nerves or anything just a nice workout warmth lol same with my legs and a little bit in my belly…
THANK YOU AGAIN LADIES https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -
How about I share my experience with pole dance after a month? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Over the past few years I have tried a lot things to lift my belly pooch like sit-ups, lotions, or rubbing in oils or salts in the bath. I was aware of it and I always felt like it made me look bigger because it was kinda flabby. After doing lots of workouts (and still no tightness) I thought it wasn’t fat but that my belly skin was loose. Nope, nope, nope. I swear I rub my belly every morning now and I’m just AMAZED at how tight I am. Well, not super tight but fantastic for me!! I used to lean forward and suck in my belly and still have something hanging (ewww) but when I lean forward now I can barely notice it move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
that’s incredible! and thats after just a month? cuz i dont have too much extra but had a baby 3 months ago so when i lean forward and suck in DEFINITELY something there lol and it makes me sad. congrats on gettin a rockin body my pole is supposed to be here the 22nd. ridiculously excited a;lskjdf;lkja anybody have more stories??? i’d love to hear them!!! continue to let me know how you progress and how your body changes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
