A really good break down of the different materials by our own AerialGypsy: http://femtasticdance.blogspot.com/2013/05/pole-materials-differences.html
I would stay away from pole sleeves and silicones for your first pole. They are more for tricks and you will not be able to execute any spins easily on them.

Rubbing alcohol here in the states is isopropyl.

I am going to go out on a limb here and also say to please be wary of sites on FB and youtube. There are so many people giving so much bad advice out there it really is rather scary. Veena has really done her homework and has lessons set up to progress slowly and learning the skills that you need to get to the next level. “Getting a move” is not worth it if you end up injured because you did not have the proper strength or form to get there. Trust me on this one. There was not instruction like this available when I started and I have permanent injuries.

Welcome to the site and to your new addiction! It is getting close to 7 years for me and I am still in love with it. The best words of advice that I can give is to be kind to yourself and your journey. We all come into this with different levels of fitness, body shapes, limitations, etc, but we have to remember not to compare our journey with others as it is just that, OURS and THEIRS.

Yeah, this conversation JUST happened with Kori and Kevin. He stated that PS does not have any bad reviews except on here, hence the post. She is pissed because they sent her a defective pole, told her they were shipping her new parts last week, never sent them and now she is outside the 7 day return window. Standard PS games.

MemberSeptember 25, 2014 at 4:33 pm in reply to: “Lollipop,” or freestanding pole/lyra hybridI have seen routines done on the spiral. I have seen cubes (Nadia Sharif and a girl here in Raleigh). I have seen flying/hanging poles (Pantera Blacksmith, Shadow and Karol). Michelle Mynx just had a recent performance with a specially made bed that was beyond sexy.

No. SV is not backed by X. SV used to sell XPoles and still does but they get very little money from it (just like Roxi gets a cut when she sells a pole).
Webby has a response about 10 down on this thread: https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/4efd2448-9b3c-438a-9691-17b30ac37250

Are the pins in place? I had issues with a few pins that did not line up and several that were stuck open. I have taught on them with no issue. Worst case you can run Velcro to keep stuff from moving around. Put a strip on the spine and strips on the edges of the pie pieces.

I hate to say this but there is no such thing as a high quality xpole knock off. While xpole has great customer service and videos on their site, that will not help you because yours is not made by them.
Do you have pictures or installation instructions? -
The nexus wrap does not require holes to work!
