Holy Crap! It is good to see you back! I thought for sure you said goodbye to pole forever.

And for those who do not know, Roxy is the namesake for the Roxy spin!

Oh, and it must be played through the DMX player, which is about $100.

The DMX service is $25 a month and the Pandora is $5. So it is $30 per month that you would need to pay out. I think the music licensing fees are only around $100. Not sure about that pricing but as I stated, there are several threads on here that have gone into this in depth.

If you read the agreement on Pandora it does NOT cover studio use unless you also have a contract with DMX:

    10. Can I Use Pandora For My Business?

Use of Pandora for your business requires a special license to a separate service which is provided by our partner DMX, Inc. You may only use the Pandora Service in the United States for business use if you have met all of the following conditions:

    (a) You must register for a Pandora for Business account with DMX, Inc. (“DMX”) at http://www.dmx.com/pandora or such other url as may be provided from time to time, and agree to all applicable DMX terms and conditions, including without limitation, DMX’s applicable privacy policy and terms of use (the “DMX Terms”);
    (b) You must maintain active accounts with Pandora and DMX, and be current on all required payments. DMX’s Pandora for business is a paid service.

Your right to use the Pandora for business service may be terminated by either DMX or Pandora if you fail to comply with any applicable DMX Terms or this Agreement. In the event of a conflict between this Agreement and the DMX Terms, the DMX Terms shall control solely with respect to the use of the Pandora Service for business. ANY BUSINESS USE OF THE PANDORA SERVICES NOT SPECIFICALLY PERMITTED IN THIS SECTION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF YOUR RIGHT TO USE THE PANDORA SERVICES.

You have to pay a music licensing fee. There are a bunch of discussions on it if you do a search. I am on my phone or I would link it. Also, on your other question, if you search insurance you will find lots of info on here too. Pole dancing is not covered by a lot of insurance companies so be sure to do your homework. A general insurance that is suitable for typical fitness studios is not suitable for pole.

Sadly this song uses the word “fucking” or it could work:

If you search for swingers or sex clubs music you should get quite a few hits.

Have you worked on reverse handstands and bat hang/inverted crucifix? You really should work on this to gain your confidence before trying to invert.

And to answer your question, yes this is normal which is why there are steps leading up to the actual invert!

Not sure if Luvlee or Danielle Tilly have one or know of anyone. But they are more southern/Cinci area. Polergirl in CBus maybe? I know Infinity has 50 brass and a 45 chrome but I think those are the only sizes she has.

  • Diet is typically the #1 reason for what you are experiencing, hormones are the #2 and illness is the #3. I would start with diet. Most people who are training for a comp are also trying to slim down at the same time so they cut calories, which then leads to all pets of issues. You need fuel for the demands you are putting on your body!

Are you offering just pole? Most of the studios that make just over their overhead offer lots of other types of classes. Parties are usually what pays the bills, the classes are a wash. And I know very few who this is their sole source of income. One owner I know who is in LA I think took her a full year before she started turning a profit, and she has AMAZING instructors and offers all sorts of aerial classes.

Are you able to do an ankle hang/dangerous Brian? I can get myself much closer to the pole plus pretty much get one leg out of the way by going into an ankle hang prior to iguana.

XPole has been showing this pole at events for almost a year now. I think they are probably updating their website which is probably why you are not seeing some items one day and then seeing others the next.

Chrome is over steel whereas brass is brass. These two materials have very different properties, the main one being brass is a rather soft material which equals much more give (wobble).
