I would work on an extended butterfly first. Split grip inverted hold are the hardest for me. There are also a couple of tutorials floating around in the aysha threads that may be of help.

Might have to ring up Sissy…..
I can’t tell if they are glittered on top or if it is part of the plastic….
They also have these which are kind of cool but not as glittery as I want (style 251):

MemberAugust 26, 2010 at 7:02 pm in reply to: Pleasers – silver glittery OK for poling? There were a pair of shoes that Jamilla DeVille wore in her James Bond routine that I fell in love with…I think she is also wearing them on the cover of the Art of Pole series. They look like they have silver glitter impregnated into the clear plastic. Not sure if they are the same ones in both instances but I WANT the ones from the Bond routine.

Most of the manufacturers will state that they do not make POLE DANCING SHOES/BOOTS. This is also how if you damage them while pole dancing they will not replace them.

When I went to Be they did not have crash mats but we would fold up yoga mats under the pole if we were trying something sketchy.
Before I got the mat that I have I used to use large pillows when trying stuff upside down.
I HAVE fallen and it is not fun.
Currently I have foam flooring under my pole which take up some shock but also causes issues with sticking…I have jammed my toes so many times landing it is not even funny.
I don’t think shoe usage and mats necessarily get along. I also do not think that getting into many moves is easy with a mat in place. But I am also one who believes in not trying something until you have the strength to do it and also learning escapes. But we all push ourselves and having something there that is going to absorb some of the impact of a fall can’t hurt. I like the cushions that I got because they are on the stiffer side. Something that is too cushy just would not work for me.

Typically if it is snagged from a website they will have the style name and number as part of the image name. Doing that I was able to find out that these are Pleaser Taboo style 708G.

MemberAugust 25, 2010 at 7:37 pm in reply to: Whats the difference between these boots?I will take some pics. They are sort of like a low ankle boot up until the front and back flaps. No matter what you do, there is going to be a 2"-ish gap right at your ankle bones that does not tighten. I had tried lacing the boots where the bow was at the top and it is very noticeable, the bow really hides it when it is on the bottom.

I had more of an issue with these with a gap at the ankle, but if you lace them with the bows on the bottom it is not noticeable. I will measure them when I get home, but they may get larger with larger shoe sizes. -

MemberAugust 25, 2010 at 12:27 pm in reply to: Pleasers – silver glittery OK for poling? The glitter WILL wear off and they do not stick. If you are going to climb in them I would suggest learning to hold/climb with your knees. Any material other than pvc or plastic is not going to give you grip.

MemberAugust 25, 2010 at 10:13 am in reply to: Whats the difference between these boots?Wow. I have to get me a pair of those boots. Do they seem to run to a correct size? Or do you need to get a size larger?
Which ones?
I typically wear a 9.5. In the Pleasers I bought a 10 (I have a similar pair but in white) and in the Penthouse I bought a 9. I can wear socks under both (little footies on the Penthouse ones).

I have the pink one but if I had to do it over I would get an X pole. I like the portability and the expandability of the X.

YEP! My powder coated is horrible when it is warm.
What part of Ohio??

MemberAugust 25, 2010 at 1:22 am in reply to: Whats the difference between these boots? The difference is that the 2020 has a side zipper and the 2025 does not. This means on the 2020 you can keep them laced and just zip in and zip out of them. The 2025 you have to lace them each and every time. The only problem I have had with having to lace them all the time is that the eyelets have a tendency to bend themselves shut, especially when climbing, making them very difficult to get out of.
My favorite pair of boots are the Penthouse Chasity which zip up the back and you can change the ribbons out to match your outfit. They come with pink, red and black ribbons to start.

I will also add that the front eyelet boots WILL bruise your shins, even through socks.

Do your clothes still fit the same?
I have a cheapy accumeasure bodyfat caliper that I rely more on than anything else. My weight shifts daily by a good 3-5 lbs which is mostly water weight.
And my scale with the BF measurement sucks. It says that I am still where I was at the beginning of the year when my caliper tells a whole different story!
