    OMG…just saw that Denis Leary is going to be in town. Not sure who is sexier to me, him or Jason Statham.

    Something about that bad boy look (plus Jason has pole skills….how can you not like a man for that??

    April 9, 2010 at 5:41 pm in reply to: Abnormal Thyroid

    The thyronines act on nearly every cell in the body. They act to increase the basal metabolic rate, affect protein synthesis, help regulate long bone growth (synergy with growth hormone), neuronal maturation and increase the body’s sensitivity to catecholamines (such as adrenaline) by permissiveness. The thyroid hormones are essential to proper development and differentiation of all cells of the human body. These hormones also regulate protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, affecting how human cells use energetic compounds. They also stimulate vitamin metabolism. Numerous physiological and pathological stimuli influence thyroid hormone synthesis.

    Thyroid hormone leads to heat generation in humans. However, the thyronamines function via some unknown mechanism to inhibit neuronal activity; this plays an important role in the hibernation cycles of mammals and the moulting behaviour of birds. One effect of administering the thyronamines is a severe drop in body temperature.

    Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland does not make enough thyroid hormone.Early symptoms:

    * Being more sensitive to cold
    * Constipation
    * Depression
    * Fatigue or feeling slowed down
    * Heavier menstrual periods
    * Joint or muscle pain
    * Paleness or dry skin
    * Thin, brittle hair or fingernails
    * Weakness
    * Weight gain (unintentional)

    Late symptoms, if left untreated:

    * Decreased taste and smell
    * Hoarseness
    * Puffy face, hands, and feet
    * Slow speech
    * Thickening of the skin
    * Thinning of eyebrows

    Basically everything you said with the exception of high triglycerides is a symptom of hypothyroidism (although they can be attributed to slow metabolism, weight gain and inactivity).

    Hey girls…I was just at Walmart yesterday and they had 3 really cute monokini’s. Now I have been to 4 different Walmarts recently looking for a pair of shoes but this was the only one that had these. If you have a yuppie WM near you this is probably the one to hit. All three were made by OP and ran about $20. The first was denim looking with hot pink metallic polka dots, deep plunging with a little bit of ruffles by the plunge; the second was white with black ties and had the tattoo look (a few bright tattoo looking prints in about 3 places); the last looked like camo but then had electric green in with the olives and was more of the strapless style (but it still had ties that could go around your neck). I took some pics with my phone and will try to get them posted.

    I am not sure what color I like the best now. The bright red/fuchsia was my fave before but now the black? I am talking about your hair, or course! Both colors really make your eyes POP.

    The girls have talked to the HVAC guy and he says everything is running correctly. I think summer is the season I need to stock up on dry hands.
    Most contractors won’t do the work it takes to check things properly. Sorry but it is a reality of life.

    If the studio is renting the space they need to deal with their landlord and get things fixed.

    I just found these side ties by accident. Don’t think I would pay $50 for them but $20….maybe:

    Try hitting your pole with your blow dryer for a bit. Also if you put your hand on the pole and then run around in circles the friction does wonders for warming it up (just don’t get too dizzy).

    Amyxshi I believe did a light sanding to her LM because she had all sorts of issues with it.

    Google "physics of pole dancing"…I came up with TONS of hits.

    You also may want to interview someone from Hardcore Poles (or what is the name of the other one that Empy uses??) that makes their own poles and see what goes into the design and testing of them. They may not want to give away their secrets though.

    The guy who owns this site also has one called kendrastripperpole.com and officialkendrapole.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It also looks like he owns or administers the raffle site that scrolls across the store site. They also have a youtube site associated with raffleflorida.

    Just saying……

    I just saw on that Kendra site that he has videos of Veena and Joel and Karol. Isn’t this illegal?

    Veena, do you have contacts within XPole? These 2 sites are FAR from legit!

    That is the one where you do the box splits on the pole and then bring the top leg over and to the front so it ends up looking like you are sitting with your legs in front of you.
