I thought that Fleur did a photo shoot for American Apparel. Here is one of the pics from their site:

My studio has done 2 workshops at our local lululemon.

Ummm….there is another bar that has a pole in Columbus? Are you gonna share the name?

I do not have one but the studio I go to has a multipiece. As long as you have it tight and level you should have no problems. Pole away!!!

Empy…you are not making this any better! ((shudder))

There have been incidents with the Xpoles where someone had gotten a piercing caught in the hole in the pole. One of my students had it happen to her at home as well once. We’ve never had a problem in class but not going to take that chance just in case.
Also heard of one woman who banged her breast into the pole with a piercing so hard she wound up with mastitis from it.
Can I just say OUCH??!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE ankle boots. Knee boots are just too sweaty for me and they inhibit some moves.
If you look at the pictures for those boots, one shows eyelets and the other shows hooks. If they show the right boot it is eyelets, if they show the left it is hooks. I would be concerned about the buckles getting caught on stuff. I have even caught the hooks from one boot onto the laces of my other boot while poling….kind of an uncomfortable situation!

I wear a small barbell and don’t seem to have any problems. If it does not bother your belly then I would not worry about it.

There are reasons that people go to some schools and not others. Look at it this way, this may bring you even more traffic if students see your school across the street and want to check you out.
All I have to say in addition is that I wish we had that problem here! I would love it if we had more schools/instructors available.

I am gonna be so bummed if they get removed before I have a chance to see them.

When I first started sitting I concentrated more in keeping my one foot locked behind the pole (as you do for climbing) and then crossing the other leg over that one. This seemed to take the pull off the inner legs and concentrate it more to the foot and knee.

Quite normal. I don’t know if they ever totally go away, they just lessen in time.

Are they serious about that price??
In 3-4 months you could pay off a vitamix for that price and get real food, not processed.
Sorry….I have serious issues with these companies that claim that they have all these "nutrients" when each step of processing kills so much.

For about $20 you can pick up a piece of paneling at the hardware/home improvement store. I have a piece that looks like silver tile down under my pole (in the garage). The stuff that they have for bathrooms is usually much prettier. I would probably glue some of that no skid foam on the back on the paneling though just to be safe.
At one point in time I had also found this company for another poler, which is removable dance flooring:
Snaplock
