Does the photographer have them online at all? I know lots are posting things online with a password (weddings and senior photos are done this way now a good portion of time). Usually they have the image with some watermark across it. Those would be quite easily linkable.

I will just add a note here. HCG has been around for some time. It is quite common in the bodybuilding world when BBers are in a cutting phase and trying to negate the effects of steroid use. In men it is commonly prescribed to increase testosterone levels and in women it is commonly prescribed as a fertility drug. Albeit the dosing for both of these are quite a bit higher than the dosing for weight loss (2000-5000 IU a few times a week). This is what Manny Ramirez got nailed with in his blood and suspended, even though he did not test positive for steroids (supposedly he was prescribed it for low test levels).

Just because something is not approved by the FDA does not mean it does not work. I can get high on a soap box about this but choose not to at this point. Lets just say I worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing and drug discovery for 10+ years. Also vitamins and supplements (protein powder anyone??) are not regulated nor approved by the FDA but there is loads of scientific evidence that they work.

I have looked at a few Pubmed abstracts regarding this and it does appear to be a therapy for weight loss and one that is being studied quite actively. Of course there will be side effects but pretty much anything that we place into our bodies causes side effects (anyone ever have a hangover?? How about gas?). As intelligent humans all we can do is research, weigh the pros and cons and decide if it is a course of action we wish to take.

Aloe vera gel or Corn Huskers Lotion. Amlactin is also a godsend at this time of year for me. You have to buy it at the pharmacy. I used to get prescriptions for this when I was younger but now it is OTC. The lotion soaks in faster than the cream.

Also, I have no problems moisturizing in the morning if I am poling in the afternoon. I just don’t do it right before going on the pole.

If you think that you will ever want to try a spinny pole then get the spinny one. It can be kept in static until you are comfortable. Last thing you want is a year from now wanting one with spin mode.

I have callouses on my hands like crazy from poling. I do know that mighty grip now has gloves. I am not all that fond of them but there are others that are.

The pain subsides once you get the body mechanics down. I think we all start by using our skin to hold more than we should and then progress to strength and muscle with a little skin to help.

I am on a couple of pole boards and have read this happening before and am just reporting what others have run into when dealing with trying to get money back/replacements. Just recently Alethea had a pic up of one of her pairs of shoes that ripped apart at the strap. I think she said she only had them a few weeks.

The "more solid ones" are like the Pleaser Adore/Electra/Delight. They have more of a skating boot type of construction.

    I know it as boomerang.

Pleaser, Ellie and the like specifically state that their shoes are not made for pole dancing. They are just made to have a certain look.

The ones you have are made of spandex coated in a pvc like material. Any friction will make the coating peel. I have the more solid style of both Ellie and Pleasers and with the exception of a few scuffs they have held up well.

Find an "adult" store in your area that caters to dancers. Sometimes you can find great bargains. I personally use boy cut undies to dance in.

You can also google discount dance wear and look around on those sites.

Does it have a bracket or something that you have to attach to the door frame to use it or is it all self-contained?
It works on opposing pressures. You just need to have a doorway that has at least 6" of wall on either side of it (most of mine in my house don’t).

I think it got really popular because of Sarah Cretul (BTW..where has she been lately??) and her aerial handspring. Had not seen it much before her.

I started because a few clubs that I go to have poles and I always wanted to get up there but never would because I knew I did not know anything. After my first spin I was hooked. This "sport" constantly challenges me, either to be more graceful or to be stronger. I have NEVER had the upper body strength that I do now and to this day there is such a feeling of accomplishment when I finally get something that I have been working hard at. Cardio and weightlifting just do not give me that same sort of "feel good".

After 2+ years I am still learning and pushing myself and I am taking up other things to help me with my poling.
