There are very few moves taught on spin in the Art of Pole series. You may be getting that confused with the Bobbie videos which I heard were taught all in spin.

Now I am more advanced, however, I have gone back to the same studio on several occasions and have got to the point where I am able to do moves they can’t and also where I am watching them teach moves to students which they are unable to do themselves – now how you can teach something when you don’t know how to do it is beyond me!

I am not an instructor but I have the ability to observe a move, break it down and teach it to someone else even if I cannot execute the move myself. There are a lot of moves I cannot do due to range of motion and flexibility.

More on topic, I am sure that more and more of these lawsuits are going to pop up and in a way I see it as a good thing. There are so many people out there teaching pole that have no right to be teaching. This has been a topic of discussion on pretty much every pole board that I am on. Only through things like lawsuits will owners finally stand up and take notice and then require higher standards for their instructors.

Carmen Electra’s "Lap Dance" dvd is more a chair routine than a lap dance.

I had a post here about a month ago. Let me see if I can find it again.

    Here it is:

As some may have heard there have been some Fake X-Poles on the market, these have come from EBay, We have one of these fake X-Poles here and they are very dangerous. We are in the process of dealing with this. We have had them removed from eBay and are now taking action to have this stopped and to help protect the safety of all the dancers. If your student has bought a pole from ebay for less than £159.99 the likeliness that this is fake is very high.
The main ways to know if the pole is fake is :

    1) The upper dome is made of plastic, it has black rubber around it and the silver section is very thin plastic. ( this will crack on pressure being applied)
    2) The base is not articulating.
    3) The base does not have our little X’s on them.
    4) The joints are not welded together therefore they will come out and the pole will just be a tube.
    5) The instructions are a photo copy and the DVD is also a bad copy.
    6) There are only 2 ball bearings – this means the pole will not spin under pressure.

I also have a hot pink pole. Wondering why you cannot clean it with alcohol?? This is what I have used since day 1 without issue. I will say that during the summer I have ended up with some pretty nasty pole burn because the powder coat can get too sticky, but this time of the year it ROCKS.

The studio I go to has PS poles and she has had nothing but problems. First and foremost is the lack of grip in the winter. It is HORRIBLE. She has had her top disc crack and just recently her removable pole broke in two. Yeah, you heard that right, it snapped in 2 pieces! It is a problem that PS knows about but never notified anyone about it. I also know that they were having all sorts of machining problems a few months back and I am not sure if they resolved those issues. People were getting poles that the parts did not screw together tight…there were gaps. If I was going to drop that kind of money I would be totally sure that they had all of the QC issues straightened out.

Sissy….even in the clean eating book there is some fried stuff, but it is done in very small amounts of olive oil. Remember that we still all need fats in our diet.

I have family down in the area and usually get down there at least once a year. I have yet to make it to either studio. Maybe this year if we go! It’s kind of hard to tear myself away from the beach though when it is in the 70’s down there and snowing up here!

I started eating clean last year after my husband ended up in the hospital. We have gotten away from it a bit but were just talking last night about breaking out the cookbook again and my magazines (I have Oxygen and Clean Eating subscriptions!!).

Panko breading is godsend. You can bake it and it still comes out crispy. Chicken breast cut up, dipped in mustard or home made honey mustard, dipped in panko and then baked…yum. I know she has a kids book out and just came out with a men’s cookbook.

I will say that while eating clean my pooch was the smallest it had been in YEARS.

When I first started inverting I got this. I also sometimes still get this on reverse shoulder mounts. Pretty much any back exercise will help out (rows, pull ups, etc) This is a REALLY good site for all sorts of weightlifting exercises:

I know a few models that are on that site. I think it is a really good site to see what the photographer specializes in and also to see quality of work. You know what looks good to your eye. I also do not think you will see the majority of photos that you see on that site on their website. I think you should look through and see what photographers peak your interest and then take your search from there.
