These are her titles, straight from her website: The girl has showed the goodies in public.
Yeah, well so have I https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif but that does not make me a stripper.

I kinda like the way that S Factor teaches this, and it is better to learn in bare feet and then apply to heels. The start is just like Veena explained. From your knees you are going to put your weight onto your right butt cheek and then raise your left foot onto your toes. Shift your butt from your right heel onto your left heel (kind of sitting on it) and then lift your right foot onto your toes…you will sort of pivot a little. You will look like you are in a deep squat with your weight on both heels, but you are on your toes. From there put your hands on your thighs, stick your butt out and bring it up first, followed by your upper body.
I was trying to find a video that showed this but have not been successful…..

You will have bruises in not so pretty places learning the hip hold. And yeah, it is a quite sensitive area…..
As for the jade, one of the Jamilla videos explains it really well.

But her site says she works for Perth Stripper?
Perth Stripper looks like a company that deals in providing strippers for parties. I also see where she met her husband (?). This seems a lot different than working a club. -
I use google chrome and don’t see it either!

I didn’t know felix was a stripper.
My respect points just went through the -roof-
ROOF.
I am not quite sure about that. I know that she studied classical dance growing up and was in school for a dual degree in biochemistry and something else when her mom introduced her to pole. According to her site she was also named the top exotic dancer on Australia (or best stripper or something to that effect) and she did not even know it since she has been in the States for some time. Nothing I have ever read states that she was a stripper and I think she has even denied that in a few interviews. -
I am forward of the pole a bit when I do this.

One that makes you feel like a million bucks! You know when you put something on and it fits you perfect and hides all of your perceived flaws? It is also not just the "costume" but carrying the costume. If you feel uncomfortable in it then no way will it ever come off as sexy.
One of the outfits that I love and feel incredible in is a pair of white short shorts, my white boots and this fuchsia beaded push up bra that I bought in Texas.

Poletential is not far outside of SF and is where Fleur is from.
I do not believe that Veena has a studio but she is also in that area.
S Factor is in SF but I am not sure if they still offer "flight nights" on Friday evenings.
There are 2 or 3 others in the area but I have not heard a lot about them. I believe Slinky Productions is one, Pole La Teaze is another and possibly Sedusa?

Someone had just recently posted about making her own Bobbi pole. I guess the size of choice at Bobbi’s pole studio is 38mm. I have found that small poles are easier to grip if you are used to larger ones. Not sure about the deathlay, though.

Aggghhh…Empy and I must have been posting at the same time as my post did not show.
If you are wanting to become a dancer I would focus more on flow, transitions and oozing sexuality. A few well executed moves can grab attention but that is all you really need. The last thing that someone wants is a sweaty tired dancer, and most advanced pole dancing will leave you that way.
As far as progression, it really depends on the person. I was already into fitness before beginning on my pole journey so some moves came easy. I do not have a dance background so flexibility and flow are my weak points.
I would also suggest trying to find a bar that has poles where you can practice performing. Dancing in front of people is different than doing it at home.
And after reading Empy’s post it seems like we just said the same thing. Great minds, huh?

If you are trying to be a dancer practice on flow and floor work and being slinky. Have a few moves that you can do well and don’t worry about the rest. Difficult moves will make you tired and sweaty….not really what you need if you are dancing.
As for speed of learning, everyone is different. I was into fitness for quite some time before getting started so many of the moves came easy because I already had the strength. I do not have a dance background so some of the transitions have been slow learning. I also am not very flexible so some of the moves are not even possible.
I would suggest finding a bar that has poles so that you can get used to performing. It is MUCH different than doing stuff in your house.

There is another topic that just started the other day that has a lot of really good tips.
How to improve grip strength

Here is the topic.
I have not seen the dvd so I cannot help on which will help, but I would think that all of the stretches involving the legs will help with getting into the splits.
