I meant up and down, not spinning. This is a write up I did about this problem a few years ago:
2. Collars not set at proper height. This also has become a problem over time. The 3 locking pins that keep the collar/rotating mechanism on pole A vibrate loose and with us removing the poles every night the spacing shifts. Not so difficult to deal with when the poles are new but not very easy when the poles have been used for a few months. The easiest fix I have found for this is to remove all 3 locking set screws, squirt PB blaster or WD-40 into the holes, let sit for about a minute and then try to make the adjustment. I did not discover this trick until about an hour into trying to get them loose.
I almost destroyed a pole trying to get this collar loose.

Can you move the bearing unit at all when you unscrew the 3 screws? If you can’t then you need to be able to loosen it so that you can. I ended up taking all 3 screws completely out and spraying wd 40 into the holes and letting it sit for a bit. This is quite common.

If one would actually stop and read the article it specifically states that you may not have your complete splits in 6 weeks….it depends on your starting point. There is nothing in this method that tells you to take anything to an extreme. It is simply a series of stretches that when done consistently will get you deeper in your split.

It is my understanding that XPole had a flood at their manufacturing facility back in October so they are just starting to get back online now.

Then of course there is David who flags into it and then comes out into a fonji…..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMil9wXoSlo

Poling at home really takes effort. When I am at the studio it is harder for me to say no because I am paying for that class and there is a whole different atmosphere. Everyone around me is trying the move so I feel I need to in order to get my money’s worth out of it. At home it is so much easier to just blow off a move because I tend not to push myself unless I am preparing for a performance.

Legs, this is what your ceiling will look like without drywall: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lCXfW0BcrMM/TkhEnEjS9vI/AAAAAAAAAhA/rLa4tvTHv40/s1600/CIMG3588.JPG
The edge of your joist is only as wide as the 2×6 that it is made of, so basically only about 1.75 inches wide. The drywall is screwed directly into that 2x and each joist is about 24 inches apart.

Most sporting goods stores and possibly Walmart carry it. It is in the weight lifting area.

On a side note, as pole has gotten bigger studios are realizing that some of the international “stars” do not have the proper credentials to teach and therefore are not covered under the studios insurance or do not carry insurance of their own. I am not saying this was the case with Rodney, but this has happened with others. This is yet another thing to consider when taking workshops…..if the studio does not carry the additional policy and the instructor does not have travelling insurance and something happens in a workshop you may be SOL.

Roxi at Cleveland Exotic Dance in Cleveland has had him in a few times and Maria at Polesque in Kentucky has had him in once or twice. I have not seen him much in the US in the last year or so. I would take a workshop from him again, and if you know me at all that says a lot. I am not sure who is managing his tour any more.

I would also see if there are bulletin board at coffee shops, hair salons, bridal shops, nail salons , etc where you can put something up.

Even well established studios get solicitations so there is nothing that is going to stop ignorant people. Craigslist can be good as long as you put a statement in there that you are not an exotic dancer and not for hire in that capacity. I am sure there is wording that can be used.

I will *learn* any move, however there are many that I will not *perform*. I do not need to do a move to learn it and have taught many that I cannot physically perform myself. I have the ability to see what someone is doing wrong and also the ability to see things that a move requires that others do not. I am always learning……

The best I can say is to video from all of the the different angles and just see which looks best and then practice practice hitting the enter point.
