I will take a protein shake with me for after a pole session just because it is ideal to take some in after stressing your muscles and my drive home is about 30 minutes (the time you should eat after). I buy body fortress whey isolate from Walmart or Kroger

Also just a side note….most deodorants will leave a residue when you are working near your armpits.

Korrine on here is also a sweaty beast (her words). Fans and covering the pole in dry hands is typically what she does. BTW…..chrome seems to be one of the worst finishes if you are sweaty.

  • Why don’t you just call XPole?

I had a hammock in my back room at my old house and I think the ceilings were a bit under 8 foot.  It was okay for things like stretches but some stuff was difficult because I did not have much room in the hammock itself.  For lower ceilings I would think that maybe a double point would be better.

It is a standard break dancing move.  I would suggest looking up break dancing backspin.  If you search windmill you will get the one where you pop off your shoulder and that is not what you want.

  • Do you remember seeing pictures of the pole space that Alethea had at her place in LA?  God that was amazing!

What I would love: wood flooring, full wall mirror with dark velvet curtains that could be pulled across the mirror if I wanted, adjustable LED lighting run across the floor, amazing sound system, one nice comfy chair that could be used for lap dances, camera in corner that would be able to video at a great angle.  As for walls I would love to do a smoky purple with some sort of silver wash.

I need to go look up a really old post that I just remembered while I was typing this and see how my answer has changed.

Aggghhhh….hit send then had another thought.  There have been quite a few discussions here about the maximum amount of students in a class and some of them are a really good read.

I know of a few studios that have an intro to pole class that they offer once or twice a month that you have to take before you can take any other classes.  I really like this idea as it keeps the beginners all together and you are showing basic positionings and such so that they are not like deer in headlights once they get to a class.  I really wish during the time I was teaching this was an option.

As for amount of students, anything over 8 gets to be really hard to handle.  In my opinion it is also unsafe for only one set of eyes.

Pleaser Candy, Sweet, and Dolly all have chunkier heels.  Many of the Candy styles are on clearance so if you find a retailer they may be able to get them for you pretty cheaply.  Also check with other studios or even your studio to see if they are an authorized dealer.  Many times if you go through a studio you will get their discount.

Different clubs cater to different clientele. You did not fit their mold. It is not all about your pole work, it is about how you interact with the prospective clients. I might suggest getting onto stripperweb and see what skills are needed to get the next job.

There are laws to protect you. I would suggest setting up an escrow though the courts and they can have the rent monies only after they provide you with liveable conditions. This way you are covered if they try to evict you for non payment.
