    Thank you all! 🙂
The first is not a hip hold, you invert, go into outer leg hang and just bring the inner leg to the front – it’s only trying to look good, but doesent hold any weight -, then grab your outer foot.
It’s great for practising hip hold or jade though.

Could the second one be martini girl?

    I have the same problem!
Tilting slightly helps, but the only thing that really helps is some kind of grip aid, like hairspray…
I always thought it HAS to be possible without it – but when your legs sweat, it just gets slippery and down we go…
I was relieved when another dancer from my studio told me it’s only working with grip aid for her, too.

    Hi everyone,

my pole teacher has the entertaining habit of showing us new stuff – but not knowing the names.
The tricks without names are crowding by now, so she took pictures of me today. Maybe you know how these two are called?
My teacher would highly appreciate it 😀

    Thank you!

    Hi Rose,

I’m from Europe so no help on this, but I have the same idea for my holidays: I had to purchase a stage pole (star stand alone version 3) because of my ceiling. So this summer, I’ll make a road trip with a friend and my pole…
Where would you go to? Just outside to practise, to a beautiful scenery for pictures – maybe performing on some town square? (What problems could we face..?)
Has anyone done that? Maybe even in France, which is our plan?

    Have nice holidays!
