I'd also like to know about this! If I kick a little bit I can occasionally get a crappy shoulder mount, but I don't know a way to practice it better…I've tried the shoulder dismount, but stopped because no matter how far I try to push myself out, I always roll over my collarbone.
Of course you were right, Veena! I’ve had to take several days off from practice (it’s tech week for the play I’m in!!), and I hopped back on the pole today. Out of nowhere, I could do the inverted V a million times better than ever before–I noticed that the form felt perfect. So I tried the Gemini, and then just let go…and there it was!
