I have both leather (or probably leather like), and vinyl thigh highs and I definately prefer the leatherette ones.  The vinyl are just too sticky. I understand the idea of the lace up, but, mine are just slip on with small side zips. They are great, love them. And I didn't pay much at all.

    These are only $75

I noticed that the same site has the open toe and heel version for just $124

Yes, fascinating. I didn't want it to work out this way, but, perhaps someone can tell me if I am legitimately asexual, or just in a rut.

I loved sex, until my boyfriend stopped kissing me. He said it wasn't me, I was a good kisser, he couldn't explain it but he just didn't want to kiss. I dealt with it for as long as I could. We had sex less and less until we finally broke up.

I loved sex but I can not imagine having sex with anyone but him and so I haven't and I have no desire to.

I'm 44, on the pill, have plenty of male and female friends, some of whom are quite attractive and interested in sex with me. I used to be so sexual but I just don't want it at all anymore. It's been many months.

    Can I call myself asexual?

I like amiclubwear. Maybe too much. I have ordered shoes, and found them to be great, and such a great deal. Once I even wanted a pair of shoes and waited too long until they were out of stock. I e-mailed and requested that they reordered them and they did. Then I bought the wrong size and they were very nice about letting me return them.

I am always amazed at how often they have new stuff. A word of advice… if you like it order it, stuff goes fast!

I love how you said, me and my pole have a date, Debbie. I lost interest in a lot of stuff when I recently went through a breakup. But finally I am really starting to love my life again, and appreciate the things that are with me, my cats, my friends, my family, my house, and my pole.

Creativity is the kick that will get me though all the rough parts of this life. Pole is live creativity. Creating movement and feeling part of the music and the moment.

Thanks for posting this. Isn't it cool how we can be here for each other?

After attending one pole party at a studio I found a platinum stages pole on Craigslist, it was a bit banged up after living in someone's back yard but it worked. I have yet to take another lesson, and I haven't really gotten any better, but I love having a pole at home.

I have a "broken" knee and there are a lot of moves that I will never get to do, but for excercise and stretching the pole is great because I can lean on it.

The stage was really too small, I am 5'9" and so with heels there was almost no pole left. I added an extension and that helped. Finally a handy friend helped me to take down a half wall and actually install the pole. We did it for pennies, but he is a carpenter and really knew how to do it. Now I have 9' of pole in my house. I also got two huge door mirrors and now, I have the best set up. Sorry to brag, but I love it!

Privacy is the thing, I am still working this out. I like to dance alone, because, well, I guess I am shy. But, I know that is not the safest. So, I don't do it enough

I am encouraged by all of you and hope to one day really get at it. Thanks for being here to share and let me share too.

Once I needed a surface for a stagee that had a broken edge. First I put down a layer of soft and thick fabric, after that I put down some lovely gold fabric, that draped over the sides and looked very elegant. the part that held it all together that you can use over carpet is a large piece of the plastic that is used under desks so that chairs can roll easily. I bought mine online in a big one piece of 6 x 6 for a bout $50. I have seen better deals since that on pieces almost that big at office supplie stores.

    Good luck!

Ya know… I really like what you say about the inches. Scales just depress me. Poling is about the only exercise I can get motivated to do. I have a trick knee so I love that when it get's wobbly I have the pole to lean on. The other thing I love is, thick thighs help and, though they haven't shrunk much I do notice more tone. A few more months of this and my thighs may be able to go back to short shorts this summer, instead of the knee shorts they have been hiding in for the last couple of years.

The other thing is my core is gettin' some definition, even with the extra weight I can see a waistline.

    Pole play rocks!

Ceramic tile is kinda nice. It is a bit slick and you have to watch for the slight changes in texture for the grout but it is nice and cool and cleans up easily and you can't hurt it. I don't get road rash either.

I have used the plastic, like the kind you put under a desk. Pretty good but, bad road rash.

Also, I use room sized rugs for a change, or in the winter. Only works with some shoes though.

Have fun puttin' in flooring, ha.

What I find is where I tell people that I pole makes a big difference.
