I bought many fabrics of her and even with shipping and tax and going through customs and had to pay some extra charge there as well it was a lot cheaper than just buying in Germany (my home country) and also anywhere else, I looked worldwide into it where to buy fabrics. It is the best value! The communication was great, it didn’t took long, she has a wide range of products and it’s very good quality! I and my two other friends who use the fabrics for their studios are all happy with it! -
I’m not too familiar with your route and it’s probably not in your direction but I just took classes at trois-rivieres in Quebec at ‘la polka dot’ it’s been awesome, I will also take classes at ‘NYPD’ here on studio Veena I got told its been good there and a teacher in Quebec told me also to go while I’m in New York.
If you come across Miami beach, I will always recommend SoBe Poledance, anyways enjoy 🙂 -

MemberNovember 3, 2013 at 6:40 am in reply to: regaining confidence, fighting the cold, and finding motivationI’m sorry to hear you were having some injuries from overdue, I think it happens quite quick when starting to pole dance, there is so much improvement in the first month and it’s so nice to experience to get better and better but the body is not really used to so much exercise. Well this is how it happened to me. I was at one point so frustrated I almost gave everything up. Glad I didn’t!! I think you may get your motivation back when you just really take it easy. There are always good and bad days, if they are bad and no tricks really will work out for you, maybe keep watching videos of your most favourite performances. I was watching and watching YouTube, all the different blogs, hooked up on facebook with all sort of very talented pole dancer’s, reading so much, so I read a lot that everyone is sometimes to hard on themselves. I found for myself little goals I want to achieve, or booked workshops, so I have a goal to work on some tricks to master them with help of the instructor. I met really inspiring people, so it all helped out of the frustration I had in summer. For me back than it was also so frustrating because it was so hot it affected my grip, but even for that I found a solution, just some gripaids and I gained grippower. Well I don’t know if you can understand everything because my english is not as good for explaining everything I would like to, but I’m petty sure it all comes back to you!! If you were able to do some tricks back than and you lost it because of your injury, it will come back again quicker you just have to take it easy. Your muscles do remember for sure! 🙂

Ok oh yes thanks, good to know with all the extras which might come on top. Mmh so Brooklyn and Queens is ok than I guess?! Well I’m waiting for someone at airbnb to answer my request, so hopefully that works out. I also found a hostel which is hopefully ok for the price and value, it’s on Broadway street and only 2 or 4 female to share with for around 45$.
I just never thought NY is so expensive, I knew it would cost quite a lot, but never thought about those dimensions :-/ hope I won’t be disappointed in the big city 😀 all my hopes are set on good shopping at least -
Oh and to add I don’t do the tg grip, I tried first with that grip because my instructor can only do the cartwheel with tg and it looks at first really impressive…but after watching all those different tutorials and reading so much about the different grips I understood that I have the same issue with that grip as many others, it just feels not comfortable for the shoulder and wrists. So I won’t try that any more, just on the aysha or when I’m upside down already getting into the v-position….but I anyway can’t hold that for a long time either – that’s the balance problem 😀
Ahhhh so at least I have something that keeps me busy -
I try both – handspring and cartwheel and each on both sides. With tucked legs and straight legs, all the different grips and standing closer or further the pole…ahhhh and it still is not feeling right. it’s still some technical problem or the balancing. I know I’m strong enough. The other day there was one time I tried cartwheel and could hold it for a second – have been sooo happy but after failed again and again. But something really clicked at that moment, the ‘diving into it – head first and facing the seiling’ and before my lower hand was too high, now I know it really has to be deeper. lately I get really confused with my strong side…so many moves I can do better on my weak side. So I’m really really struggling on ‘the left and right issue’ lol.
Well I really think it just takes a little more time to get the hang of it 🙂 and yes as you all say it’s always good to try other stuff in between and than eventually one day (hope sooner than later) it just clicks 🙂 -
Yes please!!! Need help on that move too! I tried with different variations on cartwheel, handspring, so many different grips and hand positioning…I try and try and try with different teachers and also different tutorials. It's just not clicking 🙁 I also would like to know if it's good to be able to do the Ayasha move / split grip first??

Thanks AriesWolf, well I've never been there so I'm pretty much open to any suggestions. I found good reviews on NYP too, I'll check yours and the other one on the www – thanks!! I just really look for a place to sleep for 3-4 nights, just clean, good location and hopefully inexpensive because I'm on a tight budget. Any ideas where there are good hostels or anyone who can rent out a spare room for those dates?

Oh and I would be happy for places to practice aerial silk / yoga in hammock too. Any ideas???
