Just to make sure I’m clear. (I think I may be confusing people somehow, sorry) To me FabPole is the Nexus Wrap. So that’s what I mean when I say FabPole.

Yes. That is what I’m saying. FabPole doesn’t need the holes.

I have fabPole and like it a lot. So you know, I have an old style x-pole (pre x-joint) so it doesn’t have the holes in it that are needed for the X-pole one to install. I guess you could drill holes, but I didn’t want to. Just wanted you to know in case you have an old pole.

I don’t know official reasons, but we went to the APFC last year and there was hardly any audience for the space they had. I doubt they covered their costs.

I joked with my husband last night that my pole totem animal is a turtle. I've been poling for 4 years now. I know girls that have done it half the time and are way a head of me, but what I know is that every year I'm a little stronger and doing things I couldn't do before. When I realize that I'm suddenly strong enough to do a trick I couldn't before, it is so awesome. At 43 I'm OK with the slow and steady pace. I've (knock on wood) never had a major injury and last night I was able to do a twisted grip scorpion and I'm sneaking slowly up on an X. Just have fun and keep at it. The tricks will happen, just be patient with yourself.

So I've had this issue for a while. Thumbnail images are not showing for me in firefox (version 21.0), but they do show in IE. Background images are showing. This happens in the emails as well. I notice in firebug that they are using an <a> tag rather than an <img> tag. IE seems to handle that ok, but not firefox.

Most of how well it works depends on your skin and hair color. If you have pale skin and dark hair you are an ideal candidate. It's tougher if you have dark skin or light hair.

I have the pale skin/dark hair coloring and it went great for me. I went for 5 treatments. I get the occasional hair that comes back, but it's 99.9% gone. I used to get bad shaving bumps there so I love it.

As for pain, I didn't use numbing cream (I didn't know you could get numbing cream!) and it hurt but not bad. It's like someone flicked me really quick with a rubber band.

I have both DVDs and I agree with the vote for Jamilla for your first set. The tricks are in a logical order for building strength and skills to do the advance moves. I felt Felix's were a bit more jumbled in their skill level if you watch them in order.

Felix's had some tricks that Jamilla's didn't have, but I'm not sure it was worth the cost for those.

I love all the over 40 ladies!!! I'm the grandma of my class at 41. I too had no dance or flexibility. I did rock climb, so I did have an advantage for the upper body strength part. I just started working with a flexibility coach (She's 72!) and it has helped sooo much. Doubt I'll ever bust out some of the contortion moves, but my back feels so much better, so it's worth the work.

I remember when I first saw an Ayisha and though there was no way I would ever get that. The pride I had at getting that move and more keeps me addicted.
