Hi, Effy, you’ve done a great job teaching yourself. Be sure to consider Veena’s Lessons, so you learn the technique to prevent injury?
Where in Germany are you? I still have a lot of family there.

    "Well, since you’re asking…
If I saw one somewhere I’d just think it was tacky, and that they weren’t smart enough to have thought it through.
That’s just my opinion. Bit humourless tonight, I’m afraid. "

She was right on that last statement — she’s humourless, and she’s afraid.

One of the advantages of being 50-something is that no one accuses me of being a stripper!!!
I started at 55, and look what it’s done for me in just a year … there’s jayjay here, also in her 50s, mother of a teenage girl. I think we look pretty darn "respectable" in our pictures (although I do have a couple where I’m aspiring to look tarty! but not tacky)

Well, the close-minded ladies on that forum are going to listen to what you have to say, but show this to your own mum. Mine was a bit taken aback when she found out … after she saw the pictures of me looking fitter and stronger than I had ever been in my life, well, she sees it a bit differently now. My stepmother is bragging to all her friends!

Alternately you could call us at noon and tell us to drag our sorry stiff asses out of bed to stretch with you! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I would love to see more one piece poling outfits, made with crotch coverage and open sides, I have a swimming suit like that but it has studs on it, so I don’t wear it much for pole.

Yes, ditto on that, something to hide the mid-line for those of us who had babies the "easy way" and have a scar to hide.

Any of these … I’d like a way to insert bra cups, for those of us who need more support.

Try removing refined products from your diet.
Also, add ginger, wonderful anti-inflammatory, has made the world of difference for arthritis. You can steep fresh grated ginger in your tea, I grate it into my morning smoothies (keep it frozen for easier grating).

Also, try organic coconut oil — great moisturizer, no irritants, and has healing properties.

Are you sure you have it at a joist?
You need to have a special bolt for vaulted ceilings … I know Platinum Stages offers it for their poles, don’t know about Mynx.

if you’re on facebook, there are a number of pole organizations in other countries; try looking there.
It might be easier to just ship your pole rather than have to look for one there, it will probably require international delivery anyway.

Lucky you going to Barcelona …. I LOVE Barcelona, a city I would not mind living in for a few years!

What I’d really love to see is a cute unitard with cutout sides. Between the C-section and hysterectomy, the middle-line of my tummy is best left to the imagination, yet there are some moves for which we need to bare a little skin on the side.

There is a frustrating lack of choice for the larger-breasted women — the ones who need the most support! I can’t wear anything with a shelf bra, over over a bra, because it pulls the neckline down too low. Even the on-line catalogs for exotic dancers (many of whom have implants) rarely offer more than a C-cup.

I have basic bras that work for me, but I’d love to have something cute to wear over them!

Title 9 has a great selection of sports bras, as does Champions Sports Bras, in a variety of colors, sizes, and shaping (as well as compression).

Victoria’s Secret has a 7-way bra which can be worn with any strap configuration or strapless.

Thank you sweet, I really appreciate the contacts.
Cougar Dance is for the Woman who knows what she wants. <== Yeah, I qualify!
Resistant based, slow sensual moves and focusses on the eye contact and how to utilise it with the choreography.

    Ooooooh …. I like that!
    Can’t Wait!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

There’s also VaVaVoom Fitness in Natick, they don’t have poles yet I don’t think, but Anne teaches Hip2Strip and other sexy dance classes.

Burlesque … will that include tassle-twirling?

My book arrived and I did the stretches, I could feel myself loosening up, but that split still ain’t happening anytime soon! I heard of this method years ago and have been wanting to try it, my sports massage therapist does PNF stretches with me but I didn’t know how to do that unassisted. There are some that I really don’t get at all, so maybe I should schedule a session at Cooley hdqtrs, seeing as how they’re nearby in Boston!
