You’re awesome! Thx!!!
I found that if I bent my bottom arm and pulled with my bicep? And let my torso/head go from parallel to the pole to parallel to the floor? I was balanced enough momentarily to bring the back leg around and place the heel on the pole. I’m sure there’s probably a more technical way to explain it but any pointers are welcome

MemberMarch 9, 2015 at 7:18 pm in reply to: 2015 PCS Pole Fitness Championship Live Stream LinkI competed in IFBB pro fitness (the division onstage before pole with the routines) prior to doing pole and aerial. Maybe coming from that industry, I can offer a little insight:) you have to realized that the promoter removed women’s bodybuilding and added pole fitness to the Friday night main show. Previously, pole fitness was an expo event. They are trying to increase ticket sales and ‘sell’ bodybuilding fans on pole fitness. There are many in the bodybuilding community who don’t feel pole belongs at a bodybuilding show (there are also many who feel the bikini division is a joke). There is a perception that pole fitness is about sex, not fitness, and has no place at the Arnold main stage. Keeping all that in mind, I think it was very well done. They got knowledgeable commentators who in my opinion did a great job of educating people who have never seen pole fitness.
The Arnold sports festival is HUGE. You have to realize if you have never been just how many different events are held in one weekend, and you have to realize it is a HUGE deal for -
I end my class with a pole burpee race. 3 climbs up, slide down, drop to a plank, push up, explosive jump up. That’s 1 rep. Whoever gets the most reps in 60s wins

I miscarried poling while pregnant . Although I can’t say there was a causative relationship? I will NEVER pole pregnant again.

Go on YouTube and search ‘pso level 1 pole’ (or level 2). You will find lots of beginner intermediate competition routines where u can pick combos

What about bringing your other ankle to the pole in that piston/’D’ position, then you have your weight centered and can easily transition to pencil?

The superman on spin is really no different. I think it’s easiest from a shoulder mount to outside leg hook and rotate around, or from apprentice and feeding the leg through. As on static, try to push the pole as close to your crotch as possible to reduce the thigh rub pain.
The superman spin isn’t hard at all. I believe Veena has a lesson on that one.

Superman the move or the superman spin?

I learned it as catapult from a grounded Cupid. You have to get that shoulder around the pole, and it IS a bit scary higher up….because once you place that bottom hand in gun finger position and start taking your chest down? You have to commit.

There are plenty of ladies who have successfully poled to different degrees.
I think just like anything in pregnancy, there are no guarantees. You have to assess your own priorities and decide how much you’re willing to risk.
Best of luck, and congratulations -

I cannot say pole was to blame, but next time, I won’t be poling in pregnancy. This was the first pregnancy I poled and the first where I did not substantially reduce my exercise intensity in the first tri. I envy women who can, but for me, it’s not an option anymore.
