@Lee Lee These were popular in Canada when I was a kid in the 1980’s. I used to see them all the time. They are nearly all gone now. 😕

It’s hard to tell because it’s so dark but I’m pretty sure it’s called the “Manerina” on Cleos site. Taught by Blue Phoenix if memory serves. ☺

That really depends on your body. Try it and if it’s too much back off a bit, add more rest days , or whatever you need to do. ☺

    Welcome to Studio Veena!
Try any of the 30 Day programs. If you want to go over some foundation work, try the 30 Day take off. Even more advanced dancers will find this useful for polishing up the basics and gaining strength. Depending on how advanced you are you could also try the 30 days to Invert program. Any of the programs will get you off on the right foot and help you learn to organize your solo training sessions. ☺

Just did a quick one but I agree with Dianne, it looks like I’m getting more relevant results so far. ☺

I have hit my collarbone a few times doing this exercise from the floor as well but i don’t have the same problem when shoulder mounting from higher up ie. kneeling or standing. I find that on the floor i have to place my shoulder a couple inches off the floor and then while pressing into the pole i lower my back the last couple inches. It helps pull the meat of the trapezius up and over the top of your shoulder and gives you a little more protection and room to move before you hit that collarbone. ☺

I personally love my pleaser and I use the fact that they stick to the pole to help with grip for some tricks. Like Runemist said you may have to make a subtle adjustment to your foot placement on the pole if it is interfering. What kind of spin are you specifically talking about?

If I started over every time my plans got railroaded I would have never finished! If you feel like you need to back up a bit then go back just a couple days. ☺

I’ve always done it with true grip. But I’m mostly self taught so I don’t know that it’s correct. Outside hand reaches behind the back with the back of your hand against your body and thumb up. 😉
