You definitely won’t regret it! Been a home poler and paying member for 5 years i think now. Currently taking a short break from the lessons but that’s my finances not the lessons! I don’t know off hand what the 3 day code is but that would be your best test of whether Veena’s lessons are right for you. Hopefully she will pop in here with the code for you. 😊

Hadn’t thought much about doing a theme. I know some shows do pick a theme but none of the shows I have been to as a performer or otherwise had one. I guess it’s another thing to think about.
I hope the show will have some pole dance performers and maybe some acro yoga too. Anything goes if you want to get up in front of others and show off some skills! -
Hey there and welcome! I’m in Ontario but not terribly close to you. Toronto/Hamilton area does have an active pole community with multiple annual events including showcases and competitions. ☺

That is to be determined but probably aiming for May 2016.

I just set my phone on the floor leaning up against anything I can find. I have used a jar candle, kitchen chair, wall, free weights…literally whatever I can find. ☺

If you can’t get one from xpole you could always try a local machine shop or maybe even a trade school. I would take in any extension that you do have and ask them for an estimate for one of whatever length you need. It’s worth a try if you can’t get an original.

Welcome Cheryl! Rune answered your questions well so I just wanted to say that I can’t wait to hear how it goes and maybe someday see your first video (but no pressure, not everyone is into that and that’s okay too)! 😆

Resistance bands will do wonders for both strength and flexibility but I bought mine at Walmart for $5. Nothing fancy or really heavy duty. ☺
-
Splits are good if you are flexy enough.

A simple basic plank but with split legs (up and down instead of crossed at the ankles) also looks impressive… I’ll keep popping in to add more ideas as I think of them. ☺

Ok in that case. I have gotten good reactions from leg hangs like Gemini. Also head and handstands against the pole with leg waves are always a winner. People love shoes too, most non polers are amazed that you can walk let alone dance in them!

Oh and congrats on getting out there and performing! It can be a little nerve racking but if you keep your routine to moves your comfortable with I’m sure you will have a blast!

Maybe take a look at some of Veena’s routines and combos. You may get some ideas and inspiration from the beginner to intermediate ones especially those that focus on flow rather than tricks. ☺

Hurray! So glad that you’re all better and stronger than before. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
