Ok, pics are still huge, sorry about that… 🙁 Have to do those differently next time.

Hi there! 🙂
I joined this Challenge ages ago, but had my poor little hipflexors injured at that time. Well, now they are fine again, so I finally took some “before” pictures today. 🙂 My right side is pretty good, just very turned out (I want to start oversplitting there to get really flat), left side is not too bad and the middles are horrible. So my main focus for the challenge is improving my middle splits and getting right and left flat. 🙂 (repost because those pictures were HUGE the first time OO)

Aaah I feel so bad, still have a few days missing and it’s already February… ^^ Had a guest for the last week, so not too much pole time. 🙁 I hope I can take the video tomorrow though. 🙂

Haha, I just came here to add my excuses why I didn’t do day 5-11 yet… I got a little swamped with real live and pole classes. But I WILL catch up and I WILL finish it. It’s fun, I just need more time. xD Ah well, at least I can watch all of your videos when I’m having a break from studying. 🙂

Not so much a suggestion, more like: I feel with you. I’m a bit over 5’9″ (1,76m) and thus a bit heavier than the smaller girls. So taller people not only have the disadvantage of having longer limbs, but we are also heavier because we are taller, so we have to put in way more effort to get results. But hey, you have a harder time training so are getting a better training and are getting a lot stronger a lot faster than the others I bet. And when you finally get the strengthmove that everyone else gets on their first or second try it feels so much more satisfying (plus a lot of moves just look awesome with longer legs, so you’ve got that going for you 😉 ). 🙂
So don’t give up, you will eventually get there, even if it takes a bit longer.
Maybe try to stay tucked as long as possible (the farther away your center of mass is from the pole, the harder it is to get that mass up on the pole – so the straighter your legs are, the harder it is to get that butt up)…

Poor nail, hope it gets better soon! But don’t worry, it will grow back. It takes time but sooner or later your toe will look normal again. 🙂 Hope that comforts you a little bit.

https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/54a92104-37cc-4b23-a09d-4efa0a9aa0eb Soooo, my first video is up. 😀 And I just killed instagram on my phone trying to upload it there too (in three parts)… xD Can’t wait for tomorrow!! 😀

Yes, thats a common problem, sadly. But you can easily do something about it, it’s just the screw you use to tighten the pole (from spinning to static) that doesn’t live very long. I’d take it out and take it to the nearest hardware store (so that they know exactly what you want) to replace it.

I just reinstalled instagram for the january challenge, after not really using it when first trying it out… I’m @epsilonte there too, looking forward to see all of you there! 😀 Now on to adding a ton of Veeners… 😀

Since I live in Austria, I get all my polestuff here: http://www.polestore.eu/ They are shipping from Austria, but they do ship worldwide, so check it out. They have all the cool stuff (Bad Kitty, Mika, Dragonfly, RAD and even some Cleo the Hurricane-stuff) in all the cool colors and are really nice people too.

Can’t wait for that challenge, it looks like a ton of fun. 🙂 For the first few days I think I’ll do only one video with all of them together, because I’m don’t have my pole until the 4th… Maybe I’ll do the same with other days too, because I’m really not good with daily challenges, but I think a few times a week I can manage. 🙂

Oh yes, and I’m kinda proud of it. xD Even my coat got a little… snuggly. ^^

Saeth: Well… first the right one and then two weeks later the left one… xD One I hurt during a class and the other one while freestyling (i blame it on the split-drop I did). They will get better, they already are a bit better. And my phyisical therapist says it’s fine to stretch *a little bit* and use the foamroller, so that’s what I’m gonna do for the holidays. 🙂
Runemist, yeah, I know, but thanks for reminding me. 🙂 (uhm, that sounds bitter, but it’s meant in a positive way xD) I will be really careful, but I don’t want to stop stretching completely. And of course I’ll stop immediatly if it hurts. If my splits do come back 2015, I’ll be very happy, if they don’t… well, there’s always 2016… 😉

I’m in too. I just got my splits and then hurt my hip flexors (on both sides… xD), so I lost them again. I want them back. I will only do light stretching for the next few weeks because my muscles still need to heal, but after that I’m all in.
