Working on being very comfortable in an inverted crucifix is very important. It will be a safe exit from other moves and you have to be very comfortable holding on with just your legs. From there I would say Gemini because that leads to other moves as well. Just follow The order of Veena’s lessons and you should be fine. I learned pole on my own just with her lessons and they are a great tool 🙂 Happy poling!!

This has never happened to me but I know people who it has happened to. It seems to happen after you really exert yourself in a workout. It gets better as you improve in whatever you are doing. With pole though I would think the nausea/vomiting can happen for other reasons too such as being upside down for too long or spinning. Do those two things make you feel sick?

Wow they gave you splint. I work in an ER and we usually only splint for fractures/occult fractures or suspected ligament/tendon tears. Are they concerned that you may have torn a ligament? That’s a possibility if you fell while wearing heels.

My abs already feel tighter and it’s only day 5. Awesome 🙂 I have never been very consistent with ab workouts so i guess this with all the other pole stuff is making the difference. It makes me excited to see what it will feel like at the end of the month. Anyone else notice a difference or am I just crazy?

I think I’ll do the before and after pics as well. It’s always nice to compare to see the actual results and not just feel the difference.

If the knee grip is your issue, one key thing I found is that you have to try to point your foot toward your opposite hip as much as you can and squeeze hard with your knee. Arching you back and extending the inside leg helps lock it in too.

I live in nyc too. I would love too meet up to pole in a studio or something. I’m starving to find others who I can pole with. I plan on going to a studio but meeting others from this site would be great!

That’s interesting. Where is the pain located on the rib cage?

Thanks for the info guys. I read about both of those studios. I think I’ll give fly fitness a try. It seems not as crowded and that you can get more individual attention. 🙂

Im going to rapid fire some questions at you. Do you have pain in your knees? Do they also lock up when you walk or give out on you when walking? Does it lock or do you have pain when getting up from a squat? Do the knees swell? If yes to some of those question you may have a meniscus injury and you should consult your doctor. That can happen if you pivot to forcefully on a planted foot.
