Almost _completely_ off-topic, but god I love that outfit that you’re wearing in the video you linked to above, Veena. It’s super-dooper cute! 😀
Is it actually just boy-style undies or actual fitness wear? Either way, I love it.

Ugh. So much to say on this, so little respect for idiots who judge stuff like pole dancing without knowing a thing about it except ‘ERMAGHERD, STRIPPERS!!’
Totally yes, why the hell can’t a woman do whatever she wants with her body, sexual or not, and totally yes, if a guy was doing the same thing it would be all, ‘Isn’t he amazing?!’
*sigh*

I have bought the year-long subscription, and love it. And the regular specials are great. I think it’s a great price, and I’m very glad that my budget is now at a point where I can afford it.
My only suggestion is that I think the three day trial is a little short. With family and work commitments, I found that the three days were gone before I really had a chance to explore a lot. I had the impression already that Veena’s lessons were totally worth it, but I can see that plenty might need more convincing, and I think maybe a week long trial would give people a proper chance to explore the site and to fit that exploring around family and work.

Check in here 🙂I’m 42 and started pole dancing when I was 37, and I got pretty good at it, but then stopped when I was 12 weeks pregnant with my now 2 year old little boy. I just started getting into it again about a month or so ago and I’m loving it.

So, I looked at the demo of the roll up really carefully, and tried it again, paying close attention to my body. I’ve discovered it’s my upper back that’s hurting, not my lower back as I first thought.
It was hurting all across the muscles around and slightly below the scapula.
So I pulled my elbows in towards each other and held my back muscles really strong, and that seems to hurt less, or hardly at all.

That’s a great idea. I’ll watch the video again really carefully, and then I’ll video myself to check in doing it right. Thank you! 🙂

I’m finding the roll up to be really hard on my lower back. It feels like muscle soreness to me, because when my lower back connects with the floor as I roll up, it hurts. I only feel the discomfort when there’s pressure on my back rather than just sitting or standing around.
I’m not sure how to fix this or avoid the discomfort.
Is it maybe just that my lower back muscles are lacking strength, maybe?

Thanks, everyone. I’m so sad for her, but I’m trying to keep doing joyful things, and to channel that joy towards little Scarlett and her family.

I haven’t done my abs exercises today. I’ll get back into it tomorrow, as I know life must go on, but we’ve had really sad news regarding my cousin’s little nine-month-old girl. She’s been so unwell lately, and is on a respirator now. If she doesn’t wake up tonight they’re considering turning it off. It’s so sad. :’-(
Sorry to bring it down, but I know how supportive you all are. If you could please send positive thoughts, prayers, vibes, whatever it is that you do, for baby Scarlett and her mum and dad and the rest of the kids, I’d so appreciate it.
