any way you could tell me how thick the heel is on these? i LOVE LOVE LOVE them, but the studio i go to has a policy about shoes, and the heels have to be thicker than the size of a quarter. any way you could compare them to a quarter and tell me if they are thicker?
and, moving on, all of my shoes are ellie and i LOOOVE them. they are so comfortable and i’ve never had a problem with them. i danced 5 days a week for a MINIMUM of 2 hours a day last week in ellies and they held up totally well. i also abusive the hell out of my heels. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif
What part of the heel needs to be thicker than the size of a quarter? I have these same ones but made by Pleaser and the tip of the heel is pretty small….def smaller than a quarter.
yeah it’s the very tip of the heel. looking at them they look like they are smaller. i would maybe get them anyways for future when i have my own pole because i really like the way they look.

Tomorrow I am going to "pole practice time" at the studio I attend for the first time ever. I always go to classes where I am being taught a routine and told what spins to work on, but pole practice time is an hour to yourself to work on whatever you want. Since I have never done this before and I don’t own a pole….I’m not sure how to practice for an hour without a routine? Any tips? I’m at an intermediate level, working on my inversion at the moment. I’m not great at inverting and can’t always do it but I’m working on the arm strength to get it. But anyways, I’m off to go find videos of beginner spins that I have yet to learn to practice those tomorrow I guess. If you have any suggestions please leave them!

I always so strength training when I get there. Anything that I have thought of in my head, thats where I go to see if its plausible.
Yay! I finally get to meet you! Can’t wait. Do you think it would be weird to bring my laptop or something so I can have videos or something nearby for me to refer to working on spins with?

Fleur, Azriel, Glitter, Kari828, and myself all made it just fine! I really had no trouble with driving in the snow, the stressful part was a crappy drivers side windshield wiper. lol We were all so thankful that Sissybuns and her family were willing to let us jam at her house. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Thank you, thank you. She was also willing to open up her studio doors for the pole jam, but unfortunately we were all staying a bit too far away to take advantage of her offer. AND….she was amazing enough to drive me to the airport (not as simple of a task as it sounds but that’s another story!) hehe.

oh, wow! that’s neat. i love xpose a lot, don’t know about the instructors at towson, but hope at arundal mills is so awesome! i hope you can get your babysitters situation figured out! poling is so fun and addictive.

that we would have to talk to sissy about.i doubt it because sundays are when they get together and plan out the next week. but i don’t know, that is something someone would have to talk to the owner about, and that person would have to be sissy since she is organizing everything.

Hey ladies, I just wanted to give some information on the party.
The time is from 4-7. We should try to get there a few minutes early to fill out the necessary waiver.
There is a changing room/lounge to change in if you need to.
For those of you traveling from other places (especially you Californians) it’s cold out here! Cold cold! So bring your Jackets! LOL

The poles are brass (I think LOL) static poles so don’t be thinking you’re gonna be gettin all spinny up in there! LOL there will be refreshments and snacks to keep us hydrated and energized LOL.

The Pole Pressure Xmas party starts at 8 in DC. The fee for that party is $20 per person. I don’t know who all is for sure going, but I just wanted to put that info out as an option. Men and everyone else is allowed there. There will be drinks and performances starting at around 9:30. Even our very own Junglecat will be performing for the first time ever!!! The poles are indeed brass! Trust me you will smell it on your hands all night. Also, I will be there poling and chairing away from 1pm-4pm so when I see all you ladies I will be very sweaty and exhausted.
