YES!!! I’m here in Alaska too. I know there is a few ladies who enjoy pole in AK, but I don’t know anyone else who loves to pole as much as I do.
I would love to see pole grow up here! I was just down at the Fourth of July picnic in Wasilla with my pole & it went over really well. I’ve been at a few events as well & always had a positive response. Lots of people up here don’t really know what pole is about, but they seem to appriciate it when they see it.

I’d also like to try hot fix crystals, but haven’t got to it yet

I’ve tried glitter spray & a bedazzler type tool, wasn’t happy with either. I have had good results sewing on sequin strips & my mom has covered a sports bra with sequin fabric for me.

What a variety. So many of you are really educated!
I’ve been a licensed nurse for ten years. Working in skilled/long term care, family med, urgent care, acute inpatient psych for kids, and now I am at a retirement community in my town. I have the best job ever, my residents & coworkers are great.
All my coworkers know I pole, a few of tem have poled with me and a bunch came to a local performance. I don’t share pole with my residents, they are mostly in their 80’s & 90’s and might not understand it. I have no problem with people’s perception of pole, but I do need my residents to be comfortable with me as their nurse.
However, they’ll all get to see me on an aerial hoop this weekend at our anniversary party. Gonna be kinda weird to share a different side if myself with my residents.

I was required to come up with a stage name last year for an aerial hoop performance-Eva High. Eva is my middle name & what poler/hooper doesn’t want to be high:)

-I do it all, dancy stuff and tricks, I think the athletic part of pole can be sensual too. Definitely more sexy stuff in there when it’s just for him and no one else. Usually try to throw something new/different in too.
-if it’s just for him, I usually surprise him. Dim the lights, throw on some music, & put on a show for him. Even though he was never into strip clubs, he loves when I pole at home for him. I’m sure he likes knowing the effort of it is just for him.
-he is awesome at cheering me on in public as well:)
-I don’t think it has ever not gone well. Not that I’m perfect, but if I make a mistake or anything, we can laugh about it and continue on.

I tried to use fashion tape from Joanne’s so my ass cheeks wouldn’t hang out. So, I taped my shorts right below my butt, that made the shorts stuck to my ass while letting my crotch show. Not the coverage I was looking for. I’ll stick with my ass out and my crotch covered.

I had a bed delivered last year, then a couch 6 months later. The delivery guys come inside and say, “I thought this was the house with the pole!”
I foster dogs and have had a few people over to meet dogs, last person loved the pole.
My favorite reaction was when a couple missionary’s came to my door. I was on mid pole when I saw then walking up my driveway, figured I do a couple more tricks on my way down. After their short visit at the door, one of them said, “um…enjoy the rest of your workout.”. Last time they’ve been here.

$300?! Yup, mine was eighty, including glitter and a clear coat, and I’m in Alaska where everything is expensive.

Thanks! Alaska is a few years behind the times, so it’s nice to get out and share pole with people, especially when it’s for the dogs too.
