Thanks sooo much everyone for your responses 😀 All Your comments are sooo nice! Yes I am definitely trying not to let her get me down and I’m sure she was jealous which is crazy to me because I’m nothing special really! I just feel bad for fat shamers, women ones especially. I’ve gotten so much support from the community and the veeners that it can’t be ruined by one super rude person!!!

I am so glad you posted this because I have the same problems as you!!! The yogini is a move I just don't do because I don't have a  long enough torso and it feels like a million pounds of pressure are being compacted into my torso. I am not even five feet tall!!! I posted here a while ago asking if my short torso could pose an issue and to my surprise some advice that was given was for me to just re-adjust myself and keep trying because my short torso would not stop me from doing the move even though I was experiencing the most intense pain and burning sensations ever! So I overruled that advice and just don't do it, I have pressure on my ribs when trying the allegra also and I can barely wrap my torso around, my allegra looks like a flatline scorpio because I don't have enough back to wrap myself around the pole the right way and lean back for that nice pretty arch. I feel your pain!!!! I hope your ribs feel better!!!

I thought about it more and realized I should give it more thought and we should go to counseling before we do anything. I was super upset when I did my original post and I made him out to be a huge jerk when 95% of the time he is really nice and everyone I know loves him and totally approves, he is my best friend and i have a better connection with him than anyone else. He does open the car door for me etc. We could move out money would be tight but we could do it so I know he would find a way to make it happen we have just gotten comfortable here and with a wedding to pay for its a little harder, but I’m also starting a cupcake delivery service (delivering them dressed in a 50s outfit lol) and shipping and hoping it takes off enough to make at least some side cash, there’s nothing like that where we live. It’s nice knowing we aren’t the only ones in this situation though!! Thanks again everyone for sharing your stories and advice 🙂 seems like communication is what we need to really work on and having a mediator is good. But most days I do look forward to getting married and making him my husband so my doubts are in the minority. He still wants to get married but said he would go to counseling so we can work on our issues.

Thank you ladies for all the great responses and everyone that shared their personal stories, I knew I could turn to my veena sisters about this. After things calmed down a bit we talked and I asked him if he would be angry if I told him someone flipped me off to which he said yes and he could see the point I was trying to make. We are going to counseling and hopefully that will help us sort some stuff out. Zoey’s comment basically hit it on the head about what were going through and I hope it’s just a phase due to our living situation. I will keep everyone posted thanks again ladies you are the best!!!! xo

Omg how cute!! I actually just did my first group routine to this song this weekend in a showcase too! Except it was more like a thriller flash mob, no polers 🙁 I know how hard it is to have everyone together and our group part was way shorter than yours, great job!!!!! Mine is below if you want to see my take on the same song!

To follow up Megan's thread above don't even get me started on those freaking TV show pageant moms, our society is seriously f'ed up if we can have a drag queen parade puke all over a five year old and throw her on stage to be judged, scored, and valued based entirely on her appearance, but make sure they don't go anywhere near a pole workout class because that's not normal!! A POLE CLASS MIGHT MAKE MY CHILD WANT TO HAVE SEX ONE DAY!!! NEVERRRRRRR!!!!!

Maybe if Honey Boo Boo took a pole class people would feel differently about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to do belly dance when Shakira first came on the scene and people reacted similarly, and now it is way  more acceptable, so I'd like to think that *could* happen with pole. Interracial marriage was not as widely accepted not so long ago but now no one blinks an eye, a lot of things people used to care about seem to fall by the wayside sometimes when they realize it's really quite silly. But then there will always be those people who's minds will never change, I feel like they are a lot of the same people that give me dirty looks for being tattooed, and people that are closed minded and hate anything fun. I think the strip club connotation sadly is what does people's minds in about pole as fitness. Stripping is damn hard work and it makes me angry that people judge because I actually think they are business women but that's another argument. But there are a lot of closed minded people out there and I think it's really hard to change the way people think.

I have a bumper sticker that says "my other ride is a pole" on my car and I love driving around wondering what the person behind me thinks about it!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes I even look in the rearview mirror and and try to decide by looking at them if they would hypothetically approve or not LOL. I get upset when people say stupid crap about it but at the end of the day I know I am having way more fun and probably enjoying life a little bit more than they are by not taking myself and everything so seriously. Anyone getting that bent out of shape about a metal piece of exercise equipment needs to find other things to worry about!!!!!!

My hands are crazy sweaty and I just ended up messing up a competition performance because of it!!! Grrrr!! So I am going to look into some new grip aides, I never heard of dirtygirl poletice until Annieloo's post but I got a bottle of it in my competitor gift bag a few weeks ago. I haven't used it yet but I will use it soon and report back! I also got tite grip and I have never tried that either. I think different products work for different people because your skin chemistry is different and reacts differently to the grip aides.

There are many slow sultry versions of santa baby although I'm guessing that will be the obvious choice. I like covers of christmas songs that don't sound like the original, that way if people have the same song it's usually a different version. Brian Setzer does a really cute swing/big band version of "you're a mean one, mr. grinch" that i've always wanted to dance to, it would work great for a cheeky cute number! Good luck!

Thanks so much ladies!!!! You are all making me feel a lot better 😀 I will try to post my rehearsal video here, the live video is on don curry's youtube channel. On the plus side, I was photographed and videod by him for free and the newspaper photographer got some kickass shots of me also, that I can use for websites etc, so that was worth it by itself.

I forgot about Natasha's fall! Also I can't imagine how Jenyne felt after nailing her entire worlds routine until the very very end and she took that awful long fall…….I think she may have even beat Felix with that routine. I always felt really lucky I had never had any falls or major mishaps on stage so I think it was gonna happen eventually. Hopefully I got it overwith for a while!
