    I couldn’t help myself so I looked up the pushup challenge too since I did 23 pushups yesterday during my workout. Day 30 would be 119! That’s hilarious. Is there a middle-aged female setting on this app that I’m missing?! 😉

    I’ve quietly joined too. Finished day 7 today at 160 seconds–hate it, hate it, hate it. I try to find something to watch on my ipad (pole routine, comedian, anything!) to distract me. It only helps a little.

    I’ve done wall squats for more than a year now as part of physical therapy and can hold it 5 minutes so for giggles I looked up what that challenge would be on day 30–10 minutes! Eeeek! I may try one of the other challenges after finishing plank…if I manage to finish plank. I have a very hard time believing I’ll be able to hold a plank for more than six minutes when this is over. I’m on the medium level and can’t imagine what hard and extreme levels look like.

    Have you called them? I would try getting a human being on the phone. It’s harder to blow someone off that way.

    Sorry this has happened–stinks that you’re having to pester them.

    This thread is so interesting because of our different points of view. Seems not too many people are fans of spatchcock and I love it. I can’t do it and doubt I ever will but I think it’s beautiful when Felix Cane does it.

    I was also surprised by flatline scorpio–when I first started reading the thread I was wearing a T-shirt with a silhouette of flatline scorpio on it!

    I can appreciate the athleticism of pretty much everything but I agree that yogini looks goofy.

    Veena lessons are awesome. I started in a studio and then bought these lessons (and a home pole–not in that order) and now I rarely go to the studio. I plan to go back to the studio but I just haven’t felt the need lately because there is so much I can do at home. I think there is a sample lesson or two you can watch to see if you like them.

    @hell on heels

    Where did you get your 1′ x 1′ mirror tiles? I checked out your photos and that wall looks great! Love your pet photos too!

    @shoogstandley Thanks for sharing the Let’s Get Naked TED talk–loved it!

    @johnsdeere It never even occurred to me to dry hands for my silks–don’t know why. Good idea!

    @byrdgrrl I did spend a good bit of time chasing the tails the last time I was out and the more they blow around the more leaves and things they keep picking up. It gets a little silly. 🙂

    I work on my silks outside and only outside because I don’t have anywhere to hang them inside, which greatly limits the time of year I can play on them. I also wasn’t prepared for how much humidity/sweat would alter what I can do on them. I get stuck in them as it is but if I’m sticky/sweaty it’s a recipe for disaster. I have a very private yard and would love to have a pole outside but can’t justify the expense…yet.

    I think your next step is to find a new doctor. What a jackass.

    I find that the people who respond crudely or are embarrassed when I tell them I pole dance reveal much more about themselves than I have revealed by telling them I pole dance.

    Good luck!

    Also played on my silks a few days ago for the first time this year since it finally warmed up.

    Went rock climbing at local park today and checked out the new obstacle course they built this year. Couldn’t find anywhere to do pole moves so I did a few yoga poses. Note the pole tank top. 🙂
