@lyrapole I can’t comment on escape rooms in Vegas but I’ve done many in my hometown and love them. Always a good time. Perhaps we’ll cross paths in Vegas. My husband is going with me though I’m not at all sure what he’s going to do with himself, other than enjoy the “scenery” I imagine.

Thanks for all the advice. I forgot it’s all stage poles–though I’ve seen pictures so I should have known that. I’m not a fan of those things. Ah well, figure it may be the only time I go so I’m going to get my money’s worth–I hope–unless my old body says otherwise. Guess I’m gonna find out. Thanks for the tip on the Hard Rock–that is where I’m staying. That sucks that they won’t refund you.

I only have one day where they are back to back so hopefully I’ll be okay. I’m intend to step up my poling anyway to hopefully compete in March next year so Expo is just another motivation for me to get busy. 🙂

Ditto the butterfly to jade. Someone just tried to teach me this and I get totally lost on what order to do things and slide off.
And ditto seahorse–I’ve been working on that for many weeks with no success.

Thank you to all for your advice. The masters competition just didn’t seem very high pressure to me (again, I realize I may be oblivious). It almost seemed more like an exhibition than a competition. If there’s no real prize or anything it just seems like a show and people got ranked at the end. I don’t care how I rank. I figure the worst thing that can happen is I’ll make a fool out of myself in front of a room full of strangers–that won’t be a first. 😉 It should be a good motivator for me and it’s a goal I’ve had in the back of my head since I started poling. 🙂

I totally agree that pole gave me so much more confidence but it makes me sad that so many women out there dislike and even hate themselves or their bodies (prior to pole). 🙁
I always tell people I think everyone (men and women) should pole–now I have a video to explain why–at least to women.

Thank you all so much for the replies. I’m glad I didn’t just order them. Doesn’t sound like they would work for me as I suspect the waist/hip thing would happen for me too as it does in lots of other pants and I hadn’t considered the 100% grippy and no slide thing either.
