I know how you feel. I too have hyperhidrosis.
Was it Driclor the roll on you used overnight?
http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100000855.html
This product worked for me, it did take quite awhile of using it every night before i saw the results.I still have issues with my hands sweating, so i have to wipe the pole constantly and use alot of dry hands (i sweat through it very quickly)
For me, i find my chrome pole best.
My mum has a titanium matte silver and although it feels grippier to touch, i find it gets slick when my hands sweat, i feel more secure on my chrome pole. -
I I completely understand! My hands sweat so much.
I use the product dry hands, but I still sweat through it after about 2 moves.
I’ve been poling just over 6 months now, and have noticed that the stronger I have gotten, I am able to link a little bit more together, but no way can I do a dance or anything. It definitely sucks.I can’t do a routine because of it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
I do hope that as time goes on it will get better.I’ve also used gloves sometimes, but then my fingers sweat more and it’s just as bad.

Sweaty hands is a huge issue for me. Its worse on mums titanium pole as it gets slick when i sweat. For some reason i find my chrome one better.
It gets me down because it means i cant dance or freestyle with out stopping between every move. This is why my videos are always edited.
While dry hands works ok, i have to keep reapplying after every few moves because i just sweat it off https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
I also have mild hyperhidrosis.
I always use driclor solution under my arms. I recently read you can use it on your hands and feet also.
Im thinking i might try it on my hands and feet.
See if that improves things. -
Just keep working on it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
When i first started, i couldnt get my legs crossed either.
I couldnt climb or sit for quite a while. Practice practice practice and you will get it!

This is the only issue ive had with mine too.
Luckily my dad rescued it and used a piece of wood (like a broom handle) got them unstuck and fixed it up for me.
He said i needed to really tighten those two hex screws to stop it from happening again.
He tightened them up really tight and i havent had an issue since.
For me my pole went like this from doing the side spin and not tightening those hex screws enough. -
I practice on both!
I always work on my inverts on static until i know how to do them, then ill try them on spinny.I dont think either is easier. They just require different techniques.

The only bad thing about the current video system, isnt really the video itself, its how you have to scroll through the bottom line of videos, and when u click on a video, u then have to re scroll through them all to get to where you were up to.. if that makes sense.. -
I agree with everyone. I have been doing this on and off for like a year now and I have made very slow progress. There are some girls here that can do so much more than me in their first year, but I have to tell myself that they aren’t me and my body is different. I will be strong and ready when I am strong and ready. It’s perfectly fine to progress at your body’s rate and what is comfortable for you. Oh and like everyone is saying, this also helps avoid injuries https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Have a shiny penny day!So very true.
Some of us have started pole dancing overweight, with no background in anything (me!)
Then there are some who are already fit, already dancers, already have lots of strength… etc
We all start from different places.
