I STILL NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THERE https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY BUS LINES OR SOMETHING TO GET FROM VA TO MARYLAND? OUNKROCK GIRLIE WHEN ARE U LEAVNG AND WHEN R U COMMING BACK? Grrr If I dont get to go ill be so dissappointed!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif

sweetheart, i checked the greyhound lines and the bus fare is exactly the same price and takes twice as long. also, it will cost you $3 more to go all the way to dc rather than Fred. Either way as the schedule reads, it will put you in Fred. at 12pm and I will be late for work and I can’t call out but I will be done and in DC by 3.

All you gotta do is get to DC, the rest is a no brainer. Any information either myself or anyone else can give is the same information you can access yourself so keep searching i guess. I may have missed something. but it’s $97 roundtrip from Norfolk to DC and back to Norfolk. That is actually a great deal. grab a bus, transfer to a train and you are in DC at 1:30 pm. same thing to get home.

Once you get to DC, I will be happy to get you where you need to go. I plan on staying in DC/MD through Sunday.

The cheapest and most sensible way to get there is what i told you before and have re-iterated here. This seems to be your best and only option. Short of that, I don’t know what to tell you girlie. Sorry, but there is no way I can drive down to Norfolk to come get you.

good luck! hope you get it figured out.

I called x pole today about my adjuster cover problem and have decided not to use it. Actually there won’t be any need to, I just ordered the conversion kit. It should be here next week. I was really relieved because my pole had an accident last night and got a dent in it. Still totally usable but since the conversion kit will allow me more usable pole it also takes my slightly dented pole out of the equation too. Bonus! Hello bottom loading pole! The cost of the conversion kit is 149.99

. I was offered this option directly since it was not listed on their site and was they only have a few in stock. From what I understand, this option is only available for the 50mm chrome pole right now. I also tried to get a little more info on the new poles with the x joints and it will definitely be a while before they hit our pole rooms and studios. Most likely early spring, keep your fingers crossed!

I’ll will post photos and a let you all know how it goes when it gets here some time next week.

Woohoo! We should all wear nametags with our SV names so we can spot each other!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

or we can pin, something silly to our shirts that only SV’rs would recognize. Make it like a where’s waldo kinda thing.

What does everybody think about trying to book a bunch of rooms in the same hotel, try to make it like a huge Veena peep after party. That way we can maximize our time together?

i live in VA and am the closest to Norfolk. I tried calling Kiala and left a message but haven’t heard back yet. I am working on figuring out a way to get her up here but I need more info. Kiala, if you get this or if anyone else talks to her tell her to call me ASAP she has my number. I am available all day Wed. the 12/9

It is highly probable that I can get her up there.

    Hey maddie,

I really loved the 38mm. Hand grip was absolutely amazing. I didn’t do a whole lot of leg grip work when I had the chance because I was having too much fun turning 10 different spins into one big combo spin!!

However, some of the girls at Angel’s did say that if you are just learning a more difficult leg grip required moves its best to learn on a 45 or 50mm. If you are more advanced, its not as much of a problem. But like anything else, you just get used to it, try, try, try again, and eventually you get it. No matter what size pole it is. Look at Bobbi and her girls, they do everything on those poles.

The best person to ask would be Angel, since the owns the 38. She could tell you first hand what moves prove to be more difficult. I know I am a little late seeing this thread, but I hope it helps.

I am a huge advocate for the 38mm. A smaller pole will spoil you rotten though. Fair warning!

Whenever I wear heels my hands rest on the adjuster cover that spins whether it is on static or spin and is really troublesome. The bottom loader will eliminate this problem all together so I am really excited. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the adjuster cover to remain static or does it just spin no matter what?

The adjuster cover isn’t supposed to spin!! Call Xpole, they should be able to help you with that. Otherwise, just take the cover off.. you really don’t need it for anything, & you’ll have more usable pole area without it! Actually, if the cover is covering a part of your actual pole & not only the adjuster thingie that sticks out, I’d say take it off even if you DO fix the spinning problem.. it’s much better for your hands to be gripping the actual pole, instead of the cover anyway!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rendeer.gif

i will definitely give them a call and see what’s up. I have an 8 foot ceiling and use the smallest extension that came with my pole. I need to take my pole down tomorrow and clean it anyway so I will see if I can use the longer extension and see if that helps. I don’t care about looks, I just worry about tearing up my hands.

Either way, in heels, spinning adjuster cover, or bare adjuster, my hand will not be on the pole. But I guess not using it still gives me more usable pole so its still a plus. Ugh! i still want the bottom loader. This should solve the problem indefinitely. I am planning on getting a second pole later on anyway do to my frustration with the locking/unlocking process so I have one static and one on spin all the time. so bottom loader here I come.

i have a flip too and its wonderful. The only problem I have with mine is that it is only 60 mins. and believe it or not that can go by very quickly. So if you need longer you’ll need a laptop nearby to dump what you just recorded to make room for more. So I’d recommend the 120 min. model.

I have a feeling I will need to record even more than that for the DC Jam and I am kinda thinking I should get a camera that holds sd cards so all i have to do is switch those out when I need more room. Rather than having to drag my laptop everywhere. Any ideas on cheap cameras that have sd cards?

This is awesome!!!! Stinks that I just bought an Xpole about a month ago though. I would have loved to have gotten the new model to start with. I love my pole but am really interested to see the new design. I am really stoked about the bottom loading feature.

I went to the Xpole site and couldn’t find any info or pics. Does anyone know if they will release this pole in a 45mm? Also, is the new pole going to cost more than the poles currently available?
