i am a pole/chair dance instructor myself… i teach beginners and intermediate classes… but i guess the level in the US is much higher than in austria. in austria pole dance is very new.. so i expect everybody to be much better than me (since i have started pole dancing only 1,5 years ago)
i hope they will allow me to just drop in.. maybe i should tell them that i am teaching… i just don't want them to expect too much 😉

I really don’t know what a band is!
But I can give a general description of my phone. It’s an "Orange Boston", it’s an iphone "look-a-like". and I can use the internet with my phone!
I am really not into that tech-stuff, so I guess I am not much of a help.. but I’m trying https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

hey!
I am located in Austria and I use an apple mcbook. my browser is called safari.
The video was loaded in no time. It was really fast and the quality was very good. I also tried watching the video on my phone but that didn’t work. the space where the video is supposed to be is black and it says "playback methods" and "downloading video".
i hope this helps!

did any of these women ever consider to take belly dancing classes. Do they know where this sort of dancing comes from? maybe some of them learned latin american dances? aren’t they pretty sexy too? in dancing, mostly man lead. how feminist is that? letting the man lead???
ah that makes me so angry! female empowerment is about making your own choices! and obviously they are not allowing somebody else to choose!
I choose to be a pole dancer! I choose to be a kindergarten teacher!
and guess what – dancing does not interfere with raising children! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

oh I’m soooo with you!
I started stretching 5 months ago and I was far away from doing splits. I’ve never been the sporty type and I never worked out before I started pole dancing. I could’nt lean forward when I was sitting in a V-leg position. I couldn’t do the standard split. I couldn’t do a backbend.
Now after 5 months (and stretching nearly every day), I can touch the floor with my forehead when sitting in a V position. I can do the standard split most of the times and I can do a backbend from a standing position. My feet can touch my head from behind.
But I have to say that I do not like stretching that I have to force myself to do it. you need so much time and it hurts sooooo much! I always have the feeling that I am not progressing and that it is taking forever. But taking pictures helps me to realizes what I have accomplished!
Just force yourself to stretch regularly and stay in the stretching position for at least 30 seconds!
Good Luck! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

I have the feeling that i don’t get the bottom foot right. so how do you position your bottom foot? the grip in my knee-pit seems okay but i don’t get confident enough to push my hips forward and let go of the pole.
It makes me really angry that I can’t get this move right! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif

hi!
i had a hard time learning the teddy too!
what i do now is : I lift the inside arm and press it down instead of sliding down with my body. you will have to press your arm down until it really hurts. And you should not use any deodorants (i don’t know if this is the right word in english) before doing the teddy. It helps if you "clean" your armpit.
