Yup, the person working the vendor table also told me original was better and what they had to sell there was the original, NOT!  Now I have two tubes of it 🙁

At pole convention I wanted to buy some Tite Grip, the original version.  The vendor who had it said they were certain what they had was the original, but it wasn't.  It's the newer one that dries clear.  I don't use tite grip for grip aid, but before poling as an antipersperant for my sweaty hands.  I bought two tubes and will use it along with Dry Hands, if needed..  When I'm done with it will decide if I'll get the original version to try and see difference.  I just want to try to keep my hand from sweating, the left one only does that, weird.

I remember I had the original years ago when I first started poling and remember liking it.

I'm not sure what you mean by " I'm just having a hard time making sure that the dome is flat on the ceiling while I'm adjusting it for height. I have tried to get it very close and then lift from the bottom in hopes that I will get the dome flat "

What we do is, set the pole in place, tighten to where it won't slip but not completely tight so that we can adjust it, then use the level to check how straight it is.  If we need to adjust according to the level, we gently nudge it and/or loosen just enough to be able to make adjustment.

I don't know if others do the same, hopefully someone will respond.

I have a boy band probably not many will be familiar with, but will be fun putting something together to it.  It's old school to the days before I was married over 34 years ago.

It took just a couple of days, which was nice.  You'll love the pole, make sure to give it time to get used to.  Even titan gold needs to be cleaned of the manufacture film.  Poling and learning new things in the beginning can be painful no matter what the finish, it goes away and gets better when move/hold/trick is learned.  But then starts over with new things.  It's worth it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Agh, the decision for size and finish is always difficult for some.  The 50mm was standard when I started, and I used it for couple of years.  Then tried 45mm at a studio and loved it.  I then struggled with staying with titan gold or going to chrome.  Like I said, now I have 45 in chrome and titan gold LOL  Now I wonder about the 40mm, but as long as I haven't tried one, I'm okay with 45mm.  I think I'd be afraid of thigh grip and leg grip moves on 40mm, that's just me.  Wish I could give input about it for you, hopefully others will.  Keep in touch with what you get.

Everyone has different opinions, but I personally love my xpoles.  I've had a 50mm titan gold, I now have a 45mm chrome & 45mm titan gold.  I switch between the two depending on weather but not that often.  You can't beat the free shipping from sv!  I got my 45mm titan gold from here and great service.  Are you considering the stationary or static/spin pole?

Oh my gosh, if anyone has the opportunity to attend a pole convention, DO!  It was so awesome, had an absoulte blast.  It's so hard for me to give details as it was jam packed with people to meet, pros to take pictures with, shopping at the vendors booths (OMG the shopping LOL), the various showcases, performances and the Saturday night showcase, not to mention the after party!!!  Got to meet a few veneers which was great.  Will post pics soon, some pics proudly wearing studioveena buttons!!!!  I even got asked about the button a couple of times and gave the site information, yay 🙂

MalciousMynx was able to set up a pole jam at whatup's place and I got to join.  Thank you MalciousMynx for getting that set up and THANK YOU whatup for having us.

I walked around all day today, Friday, with my studioveena button, but it's hard because everyone, including myself, is looking around all everything that's going on and looking for pole celebreties.  MalciousMynx and I are here,  I wish we could meet all veneers who are here to say hi and take pics.  I was actually at the Lou Landers Polesations class also.  I hate to say this, but I ended up leaving after the warm-up, so if any of you saw, that was ME!

I will private message those of you who posted here that you are at convention.

I hope we can meet, pegasus!!!!  I'll be here and going to the performance on Sunday afternoon.  Is there a studio or group name I should look for???  I don't have a fancy phone LOL to check emails or anything online, I do all that when we I'm in the room on my laptop.  I'm soo behind technology 🙂

Pole Convention is still in beginning state; today and Friday most here are taking some certification classes.  Tonight some, including MalciousMynx, Bel from Twirly Girls-Pleasanton, CA, and myself are going to International Pole Masters Cup competition.  Convention really kicks off Friday.  We are spotting pros, competitors and performers all over and meeting great people!.

Today I went to The Pole Choreography House for two classes and had a blast.  Yesterday, MalciousMynx and I went to pole jam at Whatup's house, what FUN!!!  Will post pics and videos as soon as I get a chance to edit and upload.

Hopefully others will post updates soon!
