Julie, just want to encourage you to do a challenge. I was scared to death to post my first vid, and still freak out. I don't do challenges often, but am glad when I brave one. Veneers are so encouraging and supportive. Go for it 🙂

Thanks for letting us know the good news. You've been on my mind and I've been checking and/or waiting for post on your original thread to hear that he's getting better. Happy Birthday to him and "happy dance!"

I don't know how involved he is with you and pole. When I got my first pole (Lil Mynx ss $250) three years ago, I was not familiar with the pole community and what was available. Once I got more involved and learned more, I realized I needed to make a change with a pole. It was hard, but I showed him info about poles, different finishes, etc. He surprised me last year and gave me $$ for 50mm xpole xpert titan gold and loves that I have it. So maybe showing BF info about why you would like a different pole. Now I'm talking to hubby about a 45mm xpert tit gold LOL, but think I'm pushing it 🙂
BACE, love your quote!

I recently bought a used xpole (original model) and we could not get apart either. My husband struggled A LOT. He finally got so frustrated he hit one of the rods with a hammer with some force and it gave. But he doesn't want to do it that way again, so I ordered the heavy duty tool. Haven't used it yet, but he's thrilled. I've read others who got the tool and love it. I was just surprised at how much the shipping cost is.

I know some tricks have different names, however, have you seen or done the Superman Fall? I've only practiced it in slow motion. Too chicken to really go for it, but it's fun. I haven't heard of some of the ones you mentioned, so maybe one of them is the Superman Fall.

First, I finished reading to make sure you didn't hurt yourself, then chuckled at the description of what you did to unwrap your hair. Yup, too bad you didn't get it on video. But glad you didn't get hurt while is was wrapping around. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I started few years ago on a Lil Mynx stainless steel, even though I struggled with slippery pole, I used it till I had to move on due to learning more. I also went back and forth to what finish, etc. I got a 50mm xpert titanium gold and love it, especially in comparison to ss. I've had it since Sept 2010 and always wondered about a 45mm. I ended up getting a used 45mm chrome xpole couple of weeks ago. I'm bummed because June is a busy month and haven't had time to start practicing on it to see how chrome will work for me, as well 45mm. It was such a great price, it was worth it to get even if it doesn't work out for me. I wish I had the space to put up both poles to use for different things!!
As others have mentioned, everyone is different. I've even heard of people who like stainless steel. Good luck, many of us have been or are still in your shoes as far as making decision.

I also didn't realize I hold my breath on. On a practice video I posted for help, veena commented with tips and one of them was "don't forget to breathe" Now I TRY to pay attention to make sure I'm breathing, I even make loud noises when I breathe in/out so I'll know 🙂 With all the little details to learn something, I guess breathing is important https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

Sorry to hear they are still trying to figure it out. I don't know what your financial situation, etc. is. Have you considered a naturo-path doctor? That's what mine is called where I live. Insurance doesn't usually cover that kind of "doctor." I was very ill years ago, body shutting down, etc. in and out of hospital/doctor offices…a friend told me about a natural path doctor and I was skeptical. I finally went and he helped me physically so much. They are non-traditional, of course, but his way of "testing" discovered my pituitary (sp) gland was out of whack and not what docs were trying to treat me for. I know there are some quacks out there, but I found a good one. Just a thought.
However, my thoughts and concern are with you and your husband.

So glad you are okay, thanks for letting us know and reminder for preparation. Everytime I hear about tornadoes, earthquakes, etc. I think of our veneers and wonder if anyone is in the area. Be safe! 🙂

This must have been difficult for you to share; however, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I know other veneers will come along side you in spirit.
I would love to say everything will be okay, but I hated it when people told me that when I was going through physical problems years ago, what I needed was love, support and comfort for the emotions I was going through. So even though the desire of my heart is that everything turns out okay, what I am sending is love, support and comfort to you and your husband.

BTW…HAPPY BIRTDAY SV!!!

webmaster, when it refers to every new lesson subscription purchased this month, does that mean May since today is May 31? Or is it June in your time zone? Please let me know, I believe my annual lesson subscription ends in June?
Thanks!

I don't have an answer, but wish you the best and hope everything goes well with insurance, the procedure, etc. Hugs…

@sensual, yup, think that's it. They emailed and said same thing. Looked to me like it was something new. Do you or anyone on this topic have the previous model with the threads instead of xjoints, and have any input.
