    p.s. I have a veneer friend (sosagely) whom I haven’t told I’m getting mine yet, wanted to surprise her, haha hmmm, hopefully she won’t see this post https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif%5B/quote}

Yup, did you see the post up above where I wrote the p.s. re wanting to surprise you, haha I was going to wait till I got it up, take a pic, and let you know https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif But then went into panic mode about it and wrote you. I don’t think we’ll be able to get it up till weekend, unless my hubby surprises me and puts up while I’m at work https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif Thanks for comforting me.

I just ordered an xpert 50mm titanium gold, should arrive tomorrow 9/13. As I’ve mentioned, I’m excited but also nervous. I have had a stainless steel for two years and now that I’m attempting things that require a good grip, I’m constantly frustrated, even spins I just slide down or almost off! Even though I’ve been poling for little over two years (at a slow pace), I don’t know if I still have death grip, so hope TG won’t be too grippy. I do struggle with sweaty hands and various grip aids only help for a trick or two. It is personal preference, however, without having opportunity to try these different finishes first-hand, had to make a decision. I went with 50mm even though I think I have small hands, but that’s all I’ve ever poled on and do attend different one day classes & worshops, so want to be used to it.

I probably won’t be able to get new pole up till weekend, due to my hubby’s and my work schedules. It’ll be tough having to wait and see how it works for me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

One thing I found was that when I was turning my knees in to try and make the grip better, my left knee felt like it was going to pop so I had to stop so I didn’t injure myself. It felt a little weird afterwards too… I’m not sure if I just turned it in too much? Has anyone else experienced this? My poor old knees I need them nice and strong so I can master this CAR! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif

Hannah, when you were turning your knees towards each other, didn’t your legs turn in which closes the gap at the thighs for tighter grip? I can’t picture how only your knees turned without whole legs turning inward also. I find that turning in just enough for grip at thigh to be there. But yes, be careful to not hurt yourself. I love your profile pic, by the way!

Thank you so much for the replies!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I am definitely going with the x-pert! I’m excited!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Have you ordered your xpert TG yet? Mine should arrive Monday 9/13/10. I’b both excited and nervous. I’m replacing my lil mynx stainless steel pole. I’ve just read so many posts about xjoints, hex screws misaligning, etc. I hope those issues are few and far between.

I was also going to get non-spinny cuz I just don’t feel it’s something I’m interested in; however, veena mentioned xpert is better built/quality, so I went with it. It will be difficult because due to my husband’s and my work hours, it probably won’t go up till next weekend, it’ll be like waiting for Christmas morning! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

HI, can someone give me a link to a site where i can buy the unlocking tools. mine are stuck and have been for a while https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
    THANKS!

http://xpoleus.com/shop_accessories.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Hopefully this link will get you there. Evidently this tool is for previous versions of xpoles. The info is on this link.

You no longer have to clean the connecting parts of the Xpole with the new Xjoints.

For regular maintenance there are a few things to check like the hex screws, etc if they need any oiling from time to time. Check the last page of your instruction manual for these instructions but it’s basically just checking the operation and inspecting parts. No more cleaning!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Is the unlocking tool for pervious version of xpoles only, or also for the new xjoint xpert? Does xpert still need to be taken down/apart, etc once a month or so for inspection?

See if you can get to pennygirl’s profile with this link
    https://www.studioveena.com/PennyGirl
I hope she doesn’t mind, but she posted the vid to help others with this issue and what she went through. If you are able to get to her profile, she has the video there titled xpert problem.
Sometimes it works if copy the link and paste in browser. Let me know if you can get to her profile this way.

I’m in this same club!!! Frustrating, frustrating, and more frustrating. I’ve tried various grip aids and have some Mighty Grip ordered right now. I even tried the men’s shaving cream to no avail. I read an interview of someone on poleskivvies.com who said she puts some Red Bull (yes, the drink) on her hands, desperate enough to try!!

    Here are the questions:
    1. What country are you located in: United States
    2. What operating system is on your computer: Windows XP
    3. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the video performance on your computer: 9
    4. What web browser did you use: Internet Explorer 8
    5. What kind of phone do you have: N/A
    6. Did the video work on your phone: N/A
    7. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the video performance on your phone: N/A
    8. How does the performance of the test video compare to the performance of current StudioVeena.Com video:
Video loaded very fast and was smooth running, not choppy or stalling
    9. Please provide any other comments regarding your video experience:
The reason I gave a 9 rating, my question is will video be able to move forward or backward as in current ones? Sometimes I fast forward when I know I don’t need beginning of video, or rewind for review. Also, current lesson vids go completely full screen, the test one enlarges, will it just enlarge or go full screen? The enlarged screen is sufficient, just wondering.

Will this be for lesson videos or all videos uploaded? Just curious. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

I went back and can move throughout the video by clicking a spot and not by moving the slider, so it’s doable.

Surely understand. I struggle with frustration due to my stainless steel. Really considering investing in xpert titanium gold since I’ve heard wonderful things about the grip of it.

Just last night I placed an order for Mighty Grip. I’ve tried Tite Grip, Dry Hands and samples of ITac Level 2 & 4. I bounce around among all of them and thought I should try Mighty Grip.

Even when I was working on strengthening, it was hard to hold due to being slippery. I hope it works out for you, I know how frustrating it can be.

If you think Shelly deserves finalist spot, vote for her. Voting is till Sept. 8 and she could use veneers support! I don’t know Shelly personally, but after viewing the three contenders I really do feel she should have a spot in the competition.

Thanks for the support everyone. I just wanted to add that my video submission was within the allotted time allowed for USPDF submissions, as such I put the tricks and choreography that I could within the allotted time. I think that a level playing field would be nice, as it is, both of my competitor’s video submissions are over 3 minutes (one is seven + minutes), I don’t know how that happened, but it seems fair that in a voting such as this all the videos should be the allowed length. Regardless, please take that into consideration when viewing and voting, I put the pole moves and choreography that I could within the time frame allowed.

I also noticed that and wondered if length of submission had changed. I even commented on that to my hubby. Also wonder how that happened with regards to voting. Again, either way, we preferred yours of the three, REALLY!
