As for how long will it take, everyone is different, and every spin/trick/transition is different. The key is don’t compare yourself to others (which I have to watch myself!) and have fun. It can be hard work, but worth it. Let us know how it goes!!!

I have been somewhat following this topic. I have seen some posts about concern or frustration at not being able to progress quickly or not do the challenge daily. Please don’t get frustrated or compare. It should be a journey to improve or progress in a way that works for you. I am doing the challenge, however, have not done a plank day for over a week. We were on vacation and even though we didn’t go anywhere, I just didn’t get to it. Plus I have my pole schedule and have started a yoga program that has kicked my butt. Some days I am just tooooo sore to do a 3 minute plank! Other days I just plain forget.
I will continue and work up at my pace and life schedule (which includes forgetting lol). This 30 day Plank Challenge may take me months, and that’s okay.
I hope this helps.

Oh and what Allyson said, I still had death grip when I got my TG, so had to get confortable and learn to soften hand grip.

Preppy, I went through same thing when I bought my TG years ago. I got all bruised and scraped. But I love it. I had to learn how to adjust and get passed the pain of a good stick. I would rather deal with good stick than slippery. It will get better. By the way, I also get tore up when practicing hard at the studio with xpole chrome. With all the poles I have used at various studios, and I am on my 4th one at home, I find there are pros and cons with each one. Enjoy it and your pole journey 🙂

I redid my start test for plank yesterday and did 120 sec and did Day 1 today which was same. This is going to be INTERESTING!!!
I did a monthly push up challenge while back through the boot camp I used to go to. Our trainer had a different system for building up. By the end I was able to do 40, had to test in front of trainer for him to confirm proper form and going as low as required, ugh! I’m lucky if I can do 10 now lol
He also did a weekend wall sit challenge. My husband laughed at me so much because just after few seconds I was in soooooooo much pain he had to pry me off the wall!!! I couldn’t even use my legs do it myself. I tried two times thinking I can do this, oh heck no, I couldn’t. geez
Does this 30 Day Challenge have triceps dip????

Did my Start Test at 92 seconds. I have done a weekend plank challenge in the past through the boot camp I was going to while back and did pretty well. I was able to hold longer in this Start Test, but got scared as to what’s in store for the 30 days so I chickened out and stopped at 1 min 30 sec. I know, I’m a whimp. Do I do Day 1 tomorrow or same as Start Test day?
I’ve always wanted to do this kind of plank challenge but not motivated by myself. Thank you for starting this thread Kate 92! hmmm, now I’m wondering about doing Start Test again tomorrow,

MemberJuly 5, 2014 at 8:35 pm in reply to: Fair price for lightly used 50mm TG Xpole Xpert ???I have sold couple xpole xpert poles for $270. Each time I knew the person buying, and also know that mine were in excellent condition, each time they were sold close enough to not pay shipping, so makes it a better price.

I have a callous on my right hand under the “nasty” finger lol It’s a hard spot all the time now. When I practice hard it hurts and builds up again. But it gets better. When it’s real hard and dry I am able to peel the top layer, eeeew! Carefully though because it can hurt. Yup a part of poling, just like all the bruises on my legs that my husband counted this morning. Some I didn’t even know I had on the sides and backs of my legs 🙂

Welcome back, Yanille! Be patient, it will come back. Have fun.
@tigger, this is your kick in the butt!

I think that’s what I do, go into cross ankle first, then position hands behind me and lower myself. I just posted a video of it and have another one where I do it at the studio. The studio one I do an Advanced Plank first, then go into CAR.
