I go to Aradia in Burlington – but once upon a time I did live in Toronto – does that count? 🙂

I have exactly the same problem as you. I can do it fine in bare feet, but not with heels on. Truth be told, I think I may have a fear of piercing my hand with my heel. Does that make any sense? What if I invert with my heels on, and poke the heel right through my hand?
At the very least, that would hurt.
This may not be your issue, but it's mine. I'm working on it, though.

ummm – no. I hadn't thought of the club environment. I absolutely can't do a gemini with kneepads! 🙂
I hope you can come up with a way to protect your knees, cuz daily agony like that sounds awful.

I wear kneepads a lot. If I were doing a lot of floorwork without my kneepads, I think I would have a lot of pain, too.

What I do – and it works – is drinking Greens+ (a chlorophyll drink by Genuine Health) every day. It alkalizes my body, and I don't break out anymore. There's plenty of other benefits to Greens+, it's a nutritional supplement that's good for so many things. Now I don't always have Greens+ in the house – it's not a cheap product, and I prefer to buy it when it's on sale (a rare event). When I don't have Greens+, I use 100% virgin coconut oil. I rub it onto my face, and it dissolves the oils in my skin. Oils dissolve oils, right? I don't know why french fry grease doesn't work, but I choose not to try it.
Another thing I used to do when my kids were little, was use diaper rash ointment on my face – like Penaten. It clears up inflammation on baby bums, and it worked equally well on my face. Now that my kids are a little older, I no longer have Penaten in the house.
I guess my methods are a little alternative, but that can be expected from a massage therapist. 🙂

Here's hoping you'll be breaking in your new pole soon!

Hopefully it won't happen again. It's a possible complication, isn't it? I know of someone who had a complication from her implants. They looked wonderful, but they were painful. It hurt her just to wear a bra. Then again, this was 20 or so years ago, and implants have come a long way since then.

Oh wow – good luck with the surgery! 🙂 Is the capsular contraction painful at all?

Hi Cherry,
I joined a week or two ago, and this is my first post. The board is set up a little differently than I'm used to, so I wasn't sure on how to go about my first post. I'm from Burlington, Ontario – and even though I've been taking pole classes for almost 4 years now, I'm a very slow learner. Despite the slow progress, I really do love it, and hope to keep with it.
My pole is from Aradia, 2" brass finish. I like it alright, although some things are easier on the 1.5" pole (for me, anyway).
