I’m really new to poling, too, and I found the pole sit easier with both legs straight instead of having one or both legs bent – have you tried that? I’m working at being comfortable with all the variations, but straight legs seems better for me right now. I consider my thighs to be large, and I do wonder how much difference that makes…..

I’m a true beginner and have had my pole just a few weeks – I have had it up and down twice without trouble, but will be very careful to line things up properly each time. I do think that if a little contact with the screws causes that much damage there might be some room for improvement in the existing system. So far I love my pole, though!

I’m so glad to hear that, too! Remember I was worried about ordering chrome just like you were? I’ve had my 45mm chrome x-pert up for just one week now, and I’m also loving it. I had never touched any pole before so have no way to compare it to other sizes or finishes, but think it will be fine for me. Being a total beginner I didn’t expect to be able to do a lot at first, of course. Enjoy your new pole and your lessons! I’m also glad that your life seems to have settled down now – sometimes things can be very difficult….

Tropicalpole, I’m having similar feelings – my chrome xpert xpole was shipped yesterday and should arrive early next week. I also struggled with the decision before ordering and decided on the chrome after considering the same things you did. I’ve decided to give it a try, and if I have to use grip aid I’ll do that. If after a period of time I really don’t like it I’ll try to sell it and replace it with TG, but until I’ve had time to play on it I really won’t know. Maybe I’ll love it and decide that it really was the best choice for me! Let’s think positively and stay excited about our new poles – and please let me know how you like yours when you get it… s
