on wrapping my legs and initiating the pull, it feels like my head is being dragged and my neck is arching. i think polebunny is right that i may need to push up with my forearms a bit to help initiate ?

i find that lotioning every morning after my shower doesn’t inhibit my ability to stick to the pole at all, because i usually pole hours later in the early evening…. the only time i won’t lotion is if i’ve showered and have a pole class within a couple hours. i use a variety of lotions, but mostly the oil of olay thirst quencher stuff works well for me.

i was asking around in the forums about poles, and user Empyrean mentioned them as a good pole….. i think the threads are somewhere in the pole forums…. i remember going to the site. as poles go, they are a bit more expensive than others….

hi amy,
coming from a former dancer with a bunch of performances under my belt from way back when, i say go for it. you can always pull out if you hit a point that goes against your grain.
besides, — if you don’t, you will probably wonder if you woudla/shoulda/coulda. plus — you just never know who else you might meet thru this event that will become someone important or influential in your pole career.
godspeed my dear !

also – you mention even things you have already accomplished feel different, and that you’re getting tired…. have you changed anything in your diet? has anything else in your life changed — more stress, less sleep? sometimes that stuff will impact how your workouts go… just a thought….
maybe just focus on having fun with your pole for a while, and then go back to the serious stuff after maybe a week ?
