I have terrible wrist pain too…while im no doctor, I know wrist pain is common among pole dancers and gymnasts, due to the excessive pressure we put on them…it may be some tendonitis, in which case do lots of wrist warm up and stretch each finger back and forward a few times a day…i know my pain is a mix of tendonitis and a cyst on my joint caused by too much pressure…be sure you allow yourself enough time in between training and more importantly, see an orthopedist or a hand specialist who can inveatigate further…i know how frustrating the pain can be since we rely on our wrists so much in pole, but the sooner you get a proper diagnosis, the sooner you can really enjoy pole again! Hope this helped some 🙂

Same here…did anyone actually receive an email stating they didnt get in or acknowledging that they received your submission? I never heard anything at all.

Organic Angel…did you just receive the e-mail? I haven't heard anything from them yet…After watching a ton of the videos…WOW I feel so inspired…and there are so many things I now wish I had done differently. I'm going to submit for APFC & actually record in a studio instead of my living room for one! This is my motivation to start working harder and to get much more fluid 🙂
Good luck to everyone submitted & I can't wait to see who gets picked!!!

Charley, I hope you recover soon & that you can find that wonderful escape in pole again! Thank you SO much for posting the APFA date on here. I had seen it a while back and thought maybe I wasn't ready for it…but now I think I'll give it a shot :). @Raquelle-your videos are fantastic and you are incredibly flexible! Just keep on doing your thing girl 😉

Killer florwork corby!!! I need to get my body to do that lol
-
Charley, you are very right, and its so easy to be over critical of ourselves…what we do is hard as hell and i have to agree that we all kick some serious butt…even the most basic of moves are NOT easy and we all need to be proud regardless of the outcome 😉 pole dancers are a rare breed 🙂

I know…im so nervous…part of me realizes i haventhad much experience and prob wont get picked but theres partof me that has a little shred of hope lol…i wish they accepted more girls…there is SO much incredible talent from the videos ive seen and so many are deserving to show off their skills 😉 this week is already tortureeee waiting!

Good luck ladies! this is my first actual routine ive put together so im proud of it either way 🙂 what are your youtube names? Mine is jeanine121004

Luvlee…same deal with my fiance…hes so over it its funny…when he sees its time to practice he goes in another room…he will spot me or occasionally bust out a move or 2 lol but since I see it as a sport he does now too…and im okay with that 😉

In the cat gennaro vid she makes the transition look so easy lol…it seems like such a fluid motion but i guess it goes for most moves when learning them it feels anything but fluid…i should work on my form in the aysha and get that correct before continuing work on the transition now that ive been doing it incorrectly …oops 🙂
-
@ amy i just checked out your ayasha tutorial on your blog and omg so helpful! That photo showing your back arched incorrectly is exactly how ive been doing it…now i have a place to start from…makes so much sense now :). @ pegasus…ill check it out and im sure ill find some helpful tips
-
So the reverse aysha youre basically just leaving your shoulder in front of the pole instead of unwinding it to bring it around, right? Hmm
-
@ pegasus thanks, id love to see it! @ cinara those are EXACTLY my issues. My shoulder gets caught and once its finally unwound i have lost my top hand grip and from there its a wrap. Ill work out your suggestions and hopefully have some luck…i dont believe.ive ever done a reverse aysha…will have to check that out…also, my chest is still way too close to the pole once i do get into my aysha…i think i need to lean out or round my back to get more separation? Im very wobbly up there still which makes me think im too close. When i do my tg handspring the aysha i end up in feels just right and im sturdy…something else to work on
